The food is very good. Definitely a Takeout, fast food joint. Only 6 chairs inside so you can wait for your order. Food is cooked to order so expect up to 20 minute wait. The name suggests dumplings abound but in retrospect, they take up a very small section of the menu. They are delicious though so be sure to try them and the crab rangoons. They do have 1 picnic table outside in the parking lot, but only 6 adults can fit on it. Enjoy the food, call in your order so you have no wait and find a place to relax and enjoy it! Bon Appetit!

Came here with my husband to get some dinner before a Rockets game. The food was alright but in my opinion a little overpriced and we waited a long time for our food to come out. There isn’t seating in the restaurant so you have to take your food to-go. I got the egg drop and the chicken lo mein. The egg drop soup was pretty good but the lo mein had a lot of oil. My husband got the orange chicken and said it was okay but the sauce was artificial tasting.

Bought specialty lo mein for a family member while I selected chicken and mixed vegetables. The food tasted very good and they give you enough meat for two servings! Although I’m nostalgic for the former Chinese restaurant that has closed near UH (Chinese Star), I am glad that this restaurant’s namesake has very good dumplings. The sauce I had at home with them was better though . Enjoy the photos and give The Flying Dumpling a chance to earn your patronage.

The lunch combo here is quite economical – so much food and a great price! We were over ambitious and also got an order of dumplings and an order of eggrolls but it made a great meal for us later.

Great place for a quick take out Chinese dinner. The Bao are delicious! And only $3 and are huge!! I preferred the chicken over the pork. The dumplings and crab Rangoon were great as well.

I’m sure my low stars will be overshadowed by the positive reviews. Maybe people wouldn’t like what I have to say anyways, but I don’t think a review should be reviewed. This is my assessment of the place. I feel more like a price tag than a customer. Cashier wouldn’t be empathetic on a hot day to refill water. And despite, obviously, about to order something, the cashier wouldn’t let me use the restroom prior. I always felt knit picked there. As for the food, it’s good. A tad bit overpriced. For anyone so flabbergasted by the price, you must consider the quantity you are getting. For any other restaurant, this price is ridiculous. But the quantity almost makes up for the price, it’s still about $1.50 more than what I’d really like to pay.

Don’t order online because there’s an up charge. Keep calling the number and eventually they’ll answer. Being an additional 75 cents is you want chili sauce bcuz it doesn’t come with your order.
