Ok so I have been traveling through US for some time, I ate in a lot pf restaurants but this place was a complete knock out! They knocked me out with service, with tasty food and the atmosphere was homie! Their salsa is the best i’ve had – ever!!! And I loved their mini tacos! I drowned myself in them! I ate so much of their food until I was like Homer Simpson! Loved the place, loved the food, amazing service, staff is so nice, positive energy radiating from them! Thank you guys so much!I have to recommend every single person passing through to come and check it out! Thank God I dont live close by or I would have 120kg, because I would not be able to stop myself from coming back for more of their food every day!

I ordered the fajita plate medium rare and it was the toughest, driest meat ever! The food lacks flavor and the drinks are just mediocre. There isn’t much alcohol and they are very expensive. I was expecting so much more in the food.

Arrived kinda late for a dinner. Service was quick and adequate. For last 6 months prices have increased. The food was good but read the fine print what is included in the meal much smaller print hard to read. Restaurant needs to be brighter and some updates needed. On a recent visit 05/23 food was good . However service was a little slow.

Ordered over the phone (2x Migas a la Mexicana) while viewing their online menu and the price of the item when I went to the store was $3 more per plate. False advertising earns 1 star reviews. I shouldn’t have to come in store to get accurate pricing when you have a menu online.

My entre was super pricey. I got the chimichanga, which was huge and I got two meals out of it. I was still a little surprised when I got to the register. My fault, I did not think to look at the price, so no complaint on that, but I still was surprised. But Everything everywhere has gone up I guess

The best Mexican places are the ones with giant glasses of tea, cheap ritas and even cheaper plates of steaming hot cheese enchiladas. When you get it all sent to your table in about 5 minutes it’s even better. That’s what you’ll get at El Mexicano in Smithville

We really enjoy the freshness of the salsa and chips. The food was cooked to perfection and staff was friendly, but our server was terrible. The restaurant was packed with only a few waitresses. Besides taking our drink order and food order. We only saw our waitress a total of twice. She took our order of drinks and food (1), and brought our drinks (2). We never got refills or any instructions on how, what or where to pay. I had to ask another staff member for my ticket and he told me to pay up front.
