Creamy Tomatillo Dressing
It’s been said that our Creamy Tomatillo Dressing should be its own food group. Sure it’s great on our salads, but people love them on our tacos, quesadillas, burritos, chips, and even by the spoonful. Our Creamy Tomatillo is made from tomatillos, jalapenos, salsa fresca, cilantro, and a blend of flavor-packed spices. #TheObsessionIsReal #CafeRio
Chips & Queso
We know. Hot melted cheese is totally awesome. But our queso is made even more awesome by our mix of Mexican peppers and spices. Better get extra chips. #TheObsessionIsReal #CafeRio

It had been quite some time since my last visit to Café Rio, but today I found it to be a convenient choice. The food, as always, lived up to my expectations and satisfied my cravings. I must say, the staff there were exceptionally friendly, going above and beyond to make my experience enjoyable. However, upon entering, I noticed that the interior was a bit messy, which slightly affected the overall ambiance. Nonetheless, the positive aspects of delicious food and friendly service outweighed the minor setback of the untidy environment.

I was visiting Provo as part of Summer Break, and this Cafe Rio was very close to the place I was staying at! I used the app to order ahead to pick up, and as soon as I got there (within 7 minutes) the food was ready. I ordered a Sweet Pork Barbacoa burrito non-Enchilada style and it was delicious!

Typically the tortillas are prepared fresh “warmed” in front of guests, not today. We ordered queso with the pork barbacoa salad however awaiting the chips. After paying the associate abruptly leaves as we proceeded to assume to obtain said chips. However upon his return there were no chips rather proceeded to charge us again. We simply indicated we were waiting for our chips we have paid already. We finally received our chips however they were pliable not firm by any means. The economy seems to be affecting everything however if you cant afford the drink bar take it down and wash it. Pretty gross!!

Very disappointing experience tonight, it reaffirmed why we always prefer Costa Vida over Cafe Rio.

Ok Mexican-ish food as always at this chain. My favorite are the just-made tortillas. Average value for the money. My complaint is the wait time. 15 minutes with only 4 people ahead of me and only one person at the line. There were 7 more people doing prep.

Bring back the regular salad dressing. I’m not a fan of the lime cilantro messed up my whole meal, ugh, and I don’t want to take it back.

Very disappointed. The problem was not DoorDash pick up. This is a kids quesadilla meal. Drink came in a water cup, no lid. How am I supposed to drive and hold this lidless cup in my hand… I complained and they said that’s the cup. And the meal…? 6 broken chips, and a tiny dressing cup of rice. This is definitely not what I’ve gotten in the past, for the exact same thing. If you guys need to cut down on portion because of inflation, please don’t charge the same exact price. We’re all hurting here…

Wonderful folks making good food. I witnessed a pretty awful dude yelling at the drive-through employee, simply because she was asking clarifying questions to make sure his order was correct. She was absolutely wonderful and handled it with grace under pressure and I’m so sorry that people like that exist. She deserves better. The food here is always well made and the people are awesome! I get the salad every time ❤️

The food was good, but the Horchata was not so good. We were not happy with the service today. They overcharged for our tacos. We ordered 2 tortilla soups and 2 a la carte tacos but they charged 2 taco meals (with rice and beans) which is around $4 more for each. We went back and spoke with Natalia de Manager to point that she charged us meal instead of a la carte but she said she couldn’t refund us but she could give us rice and beans which we didn’t accept because if we would like rice and beans we would order that way in the first place, she told us that they no longer offer a la Carte tacos and I showed her that they are still available in their Mobile App and that when we ordered in the store they never told us they didn’t offer a la carte tacos and they went ahead and serve a la carte, but she still refused to refund the difference. Not happy that we paid for something we didn’t order.

This is the worst cafe Rio I’ve ever been to. There were 10 workers and we sat at the window waiting to order for 15 minutes. It was really awkward. That should have been the first sign to just go somewhere else.
