Amazing customer service. I like the cook on the fish and chicken. I personally don’t like big pieces of chicken, so I won’t order the chicken again but the fish was seasoned nicely the sides are a bit spicy if you like spice get them. I tried the red beans and rice and greens..the Mac was a waste of my money but everything is reasonably priced.

I came here randomly visiting family in Oakland. What I can tell you is the chicken portions are huge! It’s made fresh & crispy and comes with either bbq sauce or hot sauce your choice. Seems as thought it family owned, the alligator is a big pricey unfortunately . It would be nice to have on the menu to order a single piece of alligator & chicken small plate option. Parking is a whole other issue, not any or much of it here. Be prepared to pay parking meter.

I ordered gumbo an this is what I got not to mention I even called the actual restaurant to make sure my order would be right before I placed a DoorDash order there is nothing but a bunch of kids answering the phone without a supervisor present. Horrible food an service and I do NOT recommend this place, the greens has no flavor the chicken is dry an very much unseasoned ugh gross

I ordered the fish and chicken straps. Both were over cooked and dried out. I specifically asked for lightly crispy. The staff were very hesitant to honor my request for a refund. I would have taken something different but my taste was over it after the light confrontation. The flavors were there it was just over cooked.

The chicken was extremely salty. Macaroni and cheese was well. I don’t even know what to say about that. I ordered the gumbo meal didn’t even receive my gumbo honestly, all around just terrible terrible experience. Didn’t even want to leave the one star I will not recommend this restaurant. It is a terrible experience all around and the chicken head so much damn salt and still dizzy.

The chicken I ordered was clearly cooked with old grease. While waiting for my order I asked to use the restroom. I was told it was out of order. Then a few minutes later. A guy came out of the restroom. I asked the person who took my order. Why did she deny me! Then she told me, with a attitude. Here’s the key use it at my own risk. I also asked why did you let him in the restroom. Her response was he is my brother. If I wasn’t hungry and still needed to use the restroom. I would have cancelled my order, and went elsewhere.

Chicken great, fish great, shrimp great, gumbo great..Alligator was over cooked (in my opinion).. for our sides we got dirty rice Mac & cheese which where good, the greens where a bit plan for my liking needed more seasoning.. cornbread was thick and sweet.. they bagged everything as a togo order even though we ate there.. I believe I’ll return for another try..
