Food is just ok. All dishes have too much corn starch which makes the gravy thick but tasteless. I have ordered schezwan chicken, stir fry string beans and China clay pot chicken with rice. Foods are pricey here. Service is pretty fast. I was expecting the clay pot chicken will come in real clay pot but it came in a hot metal bowl. Schezwan chicken supposed to be spicy but it was bland. Staff is very nice and friendly. Most probably I won’t recommend this restaurant.

China King is a hidden gem in the shopping center that I had been passing by for years. I finally had the chance to dine there for a work lunch and I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. I ordered the Lunch Special Beef Kung Pao which was spicy and full of flavor. The lunch specials are a great value and I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. The restaurant may be small, but the service was friendly and attentive. If you’re in the area and looking for some tasty Chinese food, China King is definitely worth a try!

We love China King. It is our go to family restaurant in Goleta. The service is always wonderful. Such lovely people. The restaurant is always clean. The food is always fresh and always delicious. I believe there is not one item on the menu that you wouldn’t love, it’s all so delicious. Seriously the best Chinese food in Santa Barbara County.

China King is consistently average Chinese food. We have had a hard time finding good Chinese in Santa Barbara and Goleta. We return to CK because it is consistent, the service is good enough and we have never had a bad meal. It’s a nice little dining room and they are good for take-out. It’s fine.
