I ordered lamb chops WELL DONE I told them I don’t want to see any blood and shouldn’t be I’m pregnant ! They replaced it with steak said it can be little pink STILL HAD BLOOD then they burnt it. 0 STARS expensive but nasty food.

Our son and his family took my wife and I to Jim’s Bistro for a belated Birthday dinner for my wife. We had reservations for 5 and got right in. My son suggested the ribs for me, which him and I ordered turned out to be a good choice. My wife’s, daughter n law’s and granddaughter’s dinner was equally as good they all said. The atmosphere was just right for the occasion. First time eating there but will return.

Beautiful evening so we sat outside. Tyson our waiter was very attentive and gave us time to decide what we wanted. She ordered the steak sandwich and I had the center cut porkchop and they were excellent.

First. We love the original jims in Bloomington where we live. First time at the bistro. Had their prime rib and it was the worst cut of Prime I’ve ever eaten. Mostly fat and gristle. I will say the baked potato and salad were excellent but did not make up for the terrible beef. Wife ordered the simple chicken and broccoli fettuccine and it came with no broccoli. When she asked she was given a plate of broccoli to mix into her meal. Not the same as when mixed into the Alfredo while it cooks. For the prices at this place one expects better as it is not cheap, over $100 for two meals, one bad and one wrong. Heard similar from others in the party, moms steak was mostly fat, brother in law said was the toughest steak he had eaten. Dad’s ribs were good and other brothers family thought their meals were good. Overall, not worth the over priced cost.

My husband and I showed up for our 8:30 dinner reservations. We chose here because this was our first “fancy dinner” we went to before we where married. We where told how busy they where and we where reminded of it the whole time we where there. First they told us they are not serving appetizers because it was too busy. Not that big of a deal to us. We both ordered the 14oz New York strip cooked medium. His came out perfect and tasted delicious. Mine was undercooked, rare if not raw in the center. I told the waitress she took it back. They put the same steak back on the grill and cooked it more. Which just burnt the outside and the center was slightly more done. The owner then came over and was beyond rude. He said if they would have cooked a new steak it would have been the same way because his cooks would have been in a hurry. The burnt taste was from the charcoal grill they use, yet my husbands did not taste burnt at all. The only right thing they did was take it off the bill. So go here if you want under cooked food and owner who has terrible customer service. It was nothing more than an overpriced terrible experience. We will not go back. There are much better places on Prospect in Peoria heights. Don’t waste your time or money at Jim’s Bistro.
