Just random luck that we ended up here, was going from Minneapolis back home to SW MN via Rt169. Stopped at the giant candy store then checked the map and there it was. Small town, a bit off the path but worth it. Two different burgers and a Philly cheese steak, all very good. Can’t say when we’ll be back but definitely recommend it for anyone close by.

This place is amazing . Very friendly staff with a great atmosphere. The food well.. WOW !! The fries and tots were crunchy “spot on”. The bacon cheese burger could not have been made any better. The prime rib dip is to die for. The town is beautiful, people were nice. And remember the film Purple Rain had a scene filmed here. Thanks for the great meal we will be back.

Rode there with a group motorcycle ride with church. They were kind enough to set aside and push together enough tables to seat us all. The waitresses were very kind and all together great and accommodating. The food is awesome! Not expensive at all and much better than other places I’ve been where the food is twice as expensive and not 1/4 as good. I will definitely make it a point to go there again! Thank you!!

We stopped here after a day in the Twin Cities. Actually, it was the first time we went into a restaurant since Covid started. They did very well distancing everyone and all the other stuff that places have to do now. We sat outside and enjoyed the calm atmosphere. Both of our meals, (steak sandwich and smoked turkey Gouda melt), arrived quickly and were delicious! Everything was done to perfection and the wait staff was quick with refills and checking in with us. We decided to check out their dessert selection and chose to try the Blueberry Cheesecake which was a great idea as it was a wonderful way to end a fantastic meal. We want to return to try breakfast soon!

A nice historic town has a wonderful restaurant! The menu is large with excellent value. Portions are plenty big. The service was excellent. Just a great stopping place when touring the river roads.
