It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I went to FSU and we had Whataburger nearby. It was one of my favorite fast food places and I was happy to see one pop up locally next to me. I went to order late and ordered a large fry. The box was not full and my fries were not hot. I understand this location is new, but it did not give a great first impression for the Whataburger I was looking for and craving. Hopefully this can be improved soon.

My soul rejoiced and I wept with sheer adulterated joy into that yellow wrapper that encapsulated some of the most nostalgic memories of my youth in Texas. Cruising downtown Houston with friends and stopping at Whataburger because it was open 24hrs, it was cheap, AND it was amazing food.

After waiting through the drive-through line. I paid and was told the pull to spot 7. At 19 mins waiting I said something to the employee that brought food to another car. I counted eight cars to leave the drive-through line while I was waiting. The guy that brought the food 30 mins after paying had an attitude and then the drive thru girl that took the payment asked if we had a problem and slammed the door! Service is trash!

I’ve been to this location six times since it opened – once for dine in and five trips through the drive through. Out of those five, my order was wrong 3 times. I know it’s a new location, but Whataburger should be better at this. Drive through is also very, very slow. If there are more than two cars in front of you, make sure you have 30-40 minutes to get your food.

Just went tonight and had an amazing experience. The managers were so kind and personable. They told us about the whole menu and all the sauces because it was our first time. We were in and out in 15 mins with our to go items. Food turned out good as well! This will definitely be my new late night spot after a night out with friends.

Drive thru was busy, but it took longer than expected to get my order. Meaghan and Ashley made it right, they went above and beyond. The food is delicious and the burgers are huge. Patty melts are a favorite, and even the spicy chicken sandwich is very good. Don’t look at the negative reviews about cage free eggs, wth is that all about?

It was good to see a good crowd but there was plenty of seating. Got a double meal. The burger was good. The fries were not hit and fresh.
