Went here for a private event this past Saturday for lunch. Excellent service and surprisingly delicious homemade food. We did have a limited menu, but they made concessions for one person who could not have pasta. The Caesar salad was delicious with homemade dressing. The grilled chicken Alfredo was some of the best I have had. The garlic bread was great and calamari tender and crispy. I hate that I did not get pictures of the food! Very quaint atmosphere with linens and beautiful table settings. Loved being able to bring our own wine!

Had rigatoni w/ italian sausage and peppers, and chicken marsala. The flavors in the rigatoni were amazing but not overwhelming. Everything seemed fresh. The service was great and not rushed. The layout and decor in the restaurant was nice.

We felt that the food was absolutely perfect. It is obviously fresh and made to order. The owner and his wife give lots of individual care to every meal. We had Veal Parmigiana. It was so tender it could be cut with a fork. The eggplant parmigana was just a tiny crispy on the edges. The Tiramisu is delicius. Everuthing seems very aithentic. Remember its BYOB so bring some nice wine if you would like. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing meal. Remember good food cant be produced quickly.

So quaint and out of the way. This has become our new favorite restaurant. You can bring your own bottle of wine with no corking fee and the food is excellent!

By far #22 on the menu was the best pasta dish I’ve ever had! Definitely very traditional and and flavorful! The red sauce and sausages were perfect! And CHEESE! OMG CHEESE HEAVEN! Very very very well cooked. It’s different than most people’s sauces it’s not thick. But very rich and so much flavor. It’s BYOB SO Bring your own good wine. I will definitely come back over and over again!

Where do I begin… Wait staff? Inattentive, deceiving, and difficult to communicate with. And God forbid you ever walk in with a family of 5 or more – you’re getting the specials-only menu with no prices listed – and by the way, the salad they forcefully ask you to pick for each meal is NOT INCLUDED in the meal. Be prepared to spend $50+ per head. The food was below mediocre; it was flavorless, dry, and the snapper tasted… dirty? Heck, the lobster ravioli would have been better coming from the frozen section at Costco. What lobster were they even talking about? It was a mushy flavorless paste! The only thing I could think by the end was – “I wish I could call up my credit card company and reverse this charge because we got scammed big time.” That was the first and last time I will ever eat at La Estancia.

This was the most pathetic restaurant I may have ever been to. We were so excited to eat at a local mom & pop restaurant, but boy do I regret it. For starters, we had a group of 8 people and they refused to give us the normal menu. They have a “special” menu for groups 5+… it consists of food that they don’t have to cook from scratch (I’m guessing frozen) and the explanation of said menu was poor. The prices are not listed anywhere. They make it sound like your salad is included in the meal, but it’s an extra $9, and it’s the worst caesar salad I’ve ever had. The table they set up for us was WAY too small, so thank god we all know each other well. Then, the woman taking our order straight up told us we needed to order right then or else it was going to take an hour to get our food (we did and it still took 40mins). She tried so hard to push the lobster ravioli, which 3 people in our group ordered… it had zero flavor and the lobster was missing? It was pink mush. I had the snapper and there was literally no sauce on my pasta…like the noodles were boiled and put straight on my plate, the fish had a dirty taste, and I think there were maybe 5 tiny capers? Overall so bland. Oh by the way, there are no sides included. Others in our group tried different options but nothing was good. Portion size is also laughable. At the end, we expressed our disappointment to the manager and her solution was to ignore us. She also stood over our shoulder watching what we put for tip… so rude. Anyway, they ruined what was supposed to be a great evening with friends. I paid for myself and 2 others, and with a 14% tip our bill was $160. How?! Thats 3 entrees and 3 salads… without alcohol… beyond insulting. The people giving them high ratings must have never eaten food before. You’ve been warned, save your money!

This is one of our favorite dining locations in Katy. The food is always fresh and delicious. Chef Peppino makes everything from scratch, daily. It is BYOB, and today we took a bottle of Chilean Cab, had fresh Calamari, a delicious house salad, and I had the best Chicken Parmigiano in the world. My wife had snapper that was still swimming yesterday. It was sautéed in white wine with garlic and capers, and served with 6 huge butterflied, grilled shrimp and fresh grilled vegetables. Please do yourself a favor, and go see them and support this local business. You won’t be disappointed. Great service, great food, and great prices!

As a new Yorker raised on very good Italian food, it was a real pleasure and a wonderful surprise to find a place in Kathy where the food was exceptional.
