Incredible food. We tried the beef stew,Peanut Butter Chicken, green spinach with Fufu and Black bean coconut rice. Yves was were friendly and welcoming. He explained us everything about the dishes and the process behind making them. Will definitely go back again.

We drove up from Fayetteville to try the food here. The owner was absolutely amazing—he educated us on all the food options he had to offer because this is new to us. We had the okra lamb soup, beef stew, peanut butter chicken stew, spinach with zucchini, plantains and fufu.

I asked my Congolese neighbor where we could try some authentic food from his country, and he recommended ELLE ET MOI CUISINE. We were not disappointed. The owner and chef, Ives Sapu, was present and he helped us with our selections. His menu is set up so that you first select your meat/fish and then add two sides, one a starch and the other being a vegetable. My wife ate tilapia with coconut black rice, spinach, and fried plantains. I ate red snapper served with jollo fried rice with egusi soup and plantains. We drank French ginger pineapple and “Vitalo: an imported Congolese soda. For a taste of Africa and the Congo, we recommend a visit to ELLE ET MOI CUISINE.

We came from New Bern NC in route to Durham for a girls trip. First time trying these dishes. We didn’t know what to order but I saw they had great reviews. The owners assisted my sister and myself, explaining every dish we inquired about and made sure everything was to our liking. AMAZING is all I can say from the food to the service we received. We will be traveling back this way again, even if it’s just to eat here. We ordered Egusi soup with smoked turkey wings and spinach , okra soup with lamb, Jollet rice, Fufu and plantains. Again….. AMAZING!!!!

Lovely people, food, service. Very thankful for all the help they provided us for our first time trying this amazing cuisine! I got the Egusi soup with fufu and stew beans. Let me tell you…..Amazing!!! My wife got the jerk chicken and black bean rice. She couldn’t stop eating it and she never finishes all her food!!! The Staff/Owners are very helpful with choosing your meal as well. We will be back and if you have not had it yet please go try, it will not disappoint!

I have visited Elle et Moi after traveling all the way from Fort Washington, MD to Raleigh. The food was amazing, and the menu had a great variety. The owner was kind, and took his time to explain all food options, and any questions we had about food on the menu. Everything looked so good, so it was hard to choose from! I also appreciated the ambiance which featured cultural music (a nice touch.) If you are looking for authentic African food, I definitely recommend! 10/10

Visited today and had okra soup soup (no meat) and fufu and let me tell you, IT WAS DELICIOUS! Fresh, flavorful and filling. I was nervous to eat with my hands but after that first bite, I felt like I was in the Motherland. I’ve told all of my family and friends, even shared with a Facebook group to visit the wonderful family owned restaurant. The staff is super friendly and was helpful with explaining the different foods and options available.
