We went there for a quick lunch, order the Tapatío Special, very tasty with an ample amount of shrimp, would have been better with a side of ranchero beans. I ordered a frozen lime margarita as well, it was way too strong for my liking.

OMG the beer with an iced glass really hit the spot on the 100 degree day and then there was the food … Excellent. From Chili Relanos and tacos, tostado and salsa and chips, very good. But the margarita was a fail straight out of a bottle. Will go back and focus on the cold beer.

My favorite El Tap out of the two in Ardmore, personally. The staff is very friendly and the service is super fast. I think we maybe waited 6-8 minutes for our double steak fajitas last time I came here and they were delicious! One of my favorite things is how they make sure to caramelize the onions to perfection. The margaritas are excellent as well. I recommend trying the bean and cheese dip instead of just the queso but itself, you won’t be disappointed!

Drinks and food must be from frozen food department, mango margarita was horrible ( some mix no etoh) first tried frozen mug with tecate, no lime, no frozen mug. Only thing good was cheese dip. Enchiladas were greased soaked corn tortillas with a little meat. Save your money find somewhere else to eat. HORRIBLE

Stopped to eat dinner at El Tapatio on our way to Norman. We were not impressed. Everything was very bland. The salsa and guacamole had no flavor. My chicken salad was terrible. There was hardly any lettuce, and the lettuce and tomatoes were not fresh. They brought out a packet of ranch dressing like you get at McDonald’s…yuck! My husband had the chimichanga. The chicken was so dry you could hardly swallow. We never had our drinks refilled either. My husband finally finished off my Diet Coke, which he hates, because he couldn’t get a refill. I definitely don’t recommend!!!
