I tried the vegetarian barbeque sandwich, which is made with jackfruit, and it is really tasty. Many people apparently find it difficult to realize that what they are eating isn’t pulled pork. Speaking of which, for you meateaters, there are plenty of meat offerings available, too. But, seriously, try the vegetarian sandwich, you won’t be sorry.

This restaurant should actually receive a no stars rating. The brisket sandwiches consisted of a bun with a slice of fat and grizzle in between with a slight edge of meat. Just terrible!

Some very good BBQ and a lot to choose from pulled pork was excellent. Priced fairly, especially for a studio attraction park.

I love this place! Old Tucson is a great place to enjoy the old west atmosphere and see where hundreds of the old westerns were made. The saloon show is great and make sure you take one of the walking tours. Big Jake’s BBQ is great food at surprisingly fair prices. I had the brisket sandwich. Awesome!

Big Jake’s is the best food option at Old Tucson. BBQ is excellent. The large smoker just outside the front door is named “big Jake” – if you see the chef or a cook standing there, ask them to open it up and show you what’s cooking inside. You will instantly get very hungry.

Better food than some of the other options around Old Tucson. BBQ food. Drink options are somewhat limited.

Literally the worst BBQ I have ever had. We went in around 8 pm after being at Nightfall for a couple hours. It was crowded, took absolutely forever for the staff to serve up cafeteria style BBQ that turned out to be a colossal waste of money. The cole slaw was underwhelming. The baked beans lacked almost any seasoning. The pulled pork was bland and the sauce on the side tasted sweet without any tang whatsoever. The burnt ends were the only part that tasted good. I am so disappointed that we spent $12 on such a poor meal. I understand that Nightfall on a Saturday is bound to be busy, but it should never take almost 30 minutes to serve up less than mediocre food from cafeteria style chafing dishes. Beyond disappointed in what other reviews called great BBQ.

Right in line with prices at bbq sit down restaurants. I didnt feel taxed by the venue and was happily surprised by the quality of the food. Great bang for the buck here at Old Tucson studios. Come on out and get you some Big Jake’s!

Pricey but worth every penny. Located inside Old Tucson, it is a MUST for great BBQ AND they use Hatch Green Chile. Makes them #1 in my book
