We came to this place on a tip from a Homer local. I’d recommend getting here early because they have limited ingredients that tend to run sooner than later. Ordered the fish and chips which came out perfectly cooked. The halibut was panko crusted which gave a light crunch to the outside of the fish. I wish it could have been seasoned a bit more, but the tartar sauce was a very fresh and tasty a addition. We also ordered the Rising Sun chicken sandwich and that was just awesome! Highly recommend this place and try eating upstairs on the 2nd level of the bus!

Valdez has better fish and chips (ugly betty). Was raining and she prefers customers to wait outside for fish which was sad. Decent portions, taste good enough. Bus is slightly cold in rain

Great spot to eat! I heard their fish and chips were good but I tried the chicken. BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH IN HOMER, by far!!!! I’ll definitely be back to out some of the other items! Service was outstanding, and I had a great conversation with the staff and owner. Always up for supporting local businesses!

Our group tried four different sandwiches, three people thought the fried chicken sandwiches/combo sandwiches and the BLT were the best we have eaten the last couple of years, anywhere. Breading/batter is perfect on the chicken. Fries were really good, light not soggy. Upper deck in the bus is a fun cozy place to eat. Only issue eating inside is the steps are steep, not accessable to the handicap. Plenty of tables outside. One sandwich will feed two children or two seniors most of the time!

Awesome customer service, even better food!! Well worth the wait as they were very busy but the quality of the food was by no means rushed and we’ll worth checking out the area while you wait. Thanks for the awesome hot meal on a cold rainy day ✌️

This place came a high recommendation from a bar owner on the spit and I, in turn, highly recommend. The staff was exceptional (bringing our food up to the top of the bus), seating was unique, comfortable, and exclusive to us, and the food was delicious. Service was a little slow (which was fine as we were not in a hurry) and the food was slightly high priced for off season. Don’t hesitate to stop in – it’s worth it!!
