At our Morristown, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. Two weirdos in a truck
They have decent food. Not as good as their competitor but I would eat there again. This location is clean and the employees are friendly. The price is reasonable and comparable to others. The fish was fried a little hard but overall a decent meal for the price.

Me and my boyfriend went here and had the chicken platter with fries and hushpuppies. The people were friendly but unfortunately the food was disgusting. The chicken was hard and not done in some areas. The fries tasted like car seat fries that you find months later when your parents were cleaning out the car and you as a kid tried one (we’ve all done that). The Mac and cheese had a fly in it. The only good thing in the meal was the hush puppies, which I hesitate to say considering the fly in the cheese, the car seat fries and the underdone chicken…who knows what went in the food we didn’t see. It was a date night quick fix after working all day so my boyfriend was so upset but I tried to be positive with the hush puppies. We tossed the food and went somewhere else. Wouldn’t recommend

Great combo meals $4.99 & $7.99 . fish ,shrimp,hushpuppies,bake potato ,and a drink. Also okra.Was awesome everything was perfect. Except one thing an older lady was rude about a drink my bother in law ordered (water ) and warned him not to get a soda in the clear cup it’s for water only. Gotta be kinda me.but of course some people can’t see the so called blue button for water which needs to be bigger to see lol. Plus he had replied he would pay for it but still rude lady .it’s how she didn’t was not accepted. Needless to say I will not return to this establishment until she’s gone. I didn’t feel comfortable and unwanted here.

The food was decent. The service of delivery wasnt. The lady brought our food to our table and barely gave me time to get the food off of the trays before she just dumped all the sauces and everything all over the table. Then said, “That’s how we do it so we dont touch anything.” Well thats what I am for. To get my own food and condiments off of the tray without them ending up in my lap. The fish was good, the fries were undercooked and nasty. Never ate more than 2. I grew up eating at Captain D’s for 30 years, and never have I ever had service like this. The lady taking our order was amazing and professional and very helpful, but when the older lady brought the food. You’d think we were homeless begging for food with how we were treated. Only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because of the young lady who took our order. If it wasnt for her, it wouldve been a 1 star. Sorry excuses for customer service. And the cook was in the back cussing up a storm. Defintely wont ve returning.

Sucked very very badly it was like being ran by ppl that cared less and that’s not okay when it comes to having to pay for the greasy food that tasted all the same bc the use the same oil to cook it all and the vegetables was very dried and tasted very old when I tried to call about my food I got no answer I had for teo days straight I wouldn’t spend my hard working money here for sure food it’s very very bad…..!!!!!!!!!!!!!
