I would definitely give this place another try as they seem very well-meaning, and it wasn’t terrible by any means. The view is wonderful from on the patio. I had breakfast here with my daughter before her college tour, and we got the steak and eggs, and the quiche of the day.

Although the food was really good, I think the restaurant could do a better job with customer service. No one greeted me or offered a table when I walked it. I had to find my own seat and it took a while before one of the waitresses came to me. While seated, one of the waitresses who was handing out the bills frowned at me, which I thought was rude. Props to the waitress that handled my order though. You’re the MVP!

I want to start out by saying the food was delicious! That being said, the service was awful. We were seated quickly and the man who sat us said there may be a wait. About 10 minutes later we get menus. Probably 15-20 minutes later a man comes by to take our order. We ordered a breakfast entree each and a coffee. He leaves, no one comes by until a woman comes by 20 minutes later with the food but no coffee. We asked for the coffee and she brought it (and it was great coffee) but I was disappointed I couldn’t have some before my meal. Had to grab our own condiments as the woman who brought the food disappeared before we could ask for them. The waffle I ordered, while delicious was pretty cold. The butter never melted and felt luke warm at best. Again, the food was delicious but it should not take as long as it did (well over an hour) for some eggs and a waffle.

Came midday Saturday and expected there to be quite a few people, which was definitely true. It took a while to be seated, which is okay. The issues started from there: service was immensely slow, even for peak hour standards. About 15 minutes until we got water, another ten before we ordered, and other 20 before we got our food. To top it off, the food was not even that good – my gyro was quite average and something that Peter Griffin could have made at home more times than not. In addition, the menu prices are not up to date. Don’t be surprised if you get charged more than the price listed on the menu.

I’ve known this spot for awhile. As for dinners, this is as good as it gets. Food is the perfect example of comfort food and you’ll walk away happy! The only draw back is the wait can be longer on some days and its not their fault. Staff come and go and I imagine training causes delays. There are some long term staff members and they try really hard to make everyone happy so go in with a little patience and just do what all the locals do, chat and chill, enjoy the views!

2 star for view, we came with expectations but food was not good at all, I tried their salmon from seafood and it came with very dry rice, also ordered shrimp scampi from pasta which was ok not bad and eggplant Parmesian which was not that good either. Server was not helpful and not quick. Would not recommend for food but view.

Went up to Ithaca with family for the weekend and opted to dine local instead of going to another chain restaurant. This is a really cute spot overlooking Cayuga Lake with reasonably priced meals. Despite how busy it was, we were seated fairly quickly & Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend!
