Superb, friendly, welcoming, and unpretentious neighborhood Mexican place. Sumptuous guacamole and a super-fine array of house special plates. Fish tacos are always excellent. Great beers on tap and killer cocktails–don’t miss the mezcal Margaritas! Superb flans for dessert. Very attentive and expert waitstaff–tip them accordingly. A delightful venue for impromptu party nights celebrating any occasion. Go Already!

Overall the food is good for a quick bite for lunch. The service is very fast. I ordered three tacos for lunch today. They are Pollo Tinga, Baja, and al Pastor. The flavor was good, but not amazing. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 7. I like my Mexican food to have a little more oomph when it’s intended to be. I did not get that today. Hopefully they’ll change my mind in the future if I go again.

Things have changed for the better. We arrived during a slow part of the day. Had the chicharron, soup, and fish tacos. The fish batter was oily, but the flavor was fantastic for everything. So much better than the last time we visited many years ago. Quick friendly service. I’m glad we have this place another try.

As mentioned before one should try a restaurant at least 3 times before a review. Unfortunately it doesn’t apply here. The food was tasteless, the worse burrito I’ve ever had. Coupled with yes poor service, no line behind us and a mostly empty place at lunch time. We still got the rush job and poor reception when we checked out. Sad Mexican food isn’t that hard to get right.
