Detello’s is the best kept secret for family Italian restaurants in the west metro. The pizza, pasta, and salad are perfection. Although they do not offer delivery, they frequently have a line picking up takeout. They offer a few types of beers and wine for the adults. This is a hotspot for families and sport teams. The retro interior is extremely clean and well maintained. I highly, highly recommend stopping in to try their pizza. It’s the best in town!

Detellos comes up a lot when in discussions of good pizza. The restaurant is a little dated but does have a cozy feel. Pizza does live up to the hype. Now for the one dish we ordered that totally killed the vibe and reasons for the 2 star review. Ordered a Chicken Cordon Bleu and was very excited to try it. All appeared fine til I realized the chicken was processed chicken tender you would get from a school cafeteria. Had a very weird texture and the breading slid right off when we put a fork to it. 14.50 for processed chicken tender…. Makes the pizza not even worth the visit.

Detellos is a classic pizzeria which you smell the goodness the second you walk in. I got a medium Pepperoni and Sausage, add rockstar spices (oregano and parmesan). The pizza was thin cracker style pizza that was cooked to perfection. The cheese was golden brown and the crust was not over done. The sausage spices were great and the sauce was spot on. My friends ordered a pepperoni which they really enjoyed. The pricing is very fair! Only problem, I wish I lived closer so I could go more often!

Soooooo delicious! Haven’t tried the deep dish, so far I have just had the thin crust pizza which is not too thin is just perfect. Im usually not a huge fan of thin crust but Detellos makes it right!! Check this place out!!

I can only speak for the pizza I ate, but that was delicious. I had the Alfredo chicken garlic thin crust. Service was super friendly and personable. The only downside is that Detello’s is following so many restaurants now and charges an extra fee for using credit cards. Not cool, I truly hate this trend! But since this is a small family owned business and my bill was under $25, I decided to pay cash and not stiff the friendly service staff on their tip.

This is proper Chicago-style thin crust pizza, cut in squares, super crispy, looks just like the pizzerias I grew up with in Illinois, the only one I’ve found in the Twin Cities. The pictures others have uploaded don’t do it justice so tried to do better. Delicious.

Worth the wait if it’s busy. The place smells great. Have always had good food. I’m not a fan of their pizza so it gets 3 stars. The salads are really crispy, chilled and fresh but are a little sparse. Everything else is great. The service has been spotty when it comes to keeping the drinks full. Once it was so bad I asked another waitress if she could get us refills and she gave me attitude. It sucks to feel like you’ve been forgotten by your waitress or waiter. Bathroom was spotless and very much appreciated.
