I could not recommend it. The portions are tiny and it is expensive for mediocre food. The atmosphere is nice, service was adequate, but unless you like throwing money away for no reason, I would steer clear.

Everything we tried is so good! We were here celebrating graduation and our server Doug was very welcoming and warm. Paella is a must-order, but do order in advance since it’ll take 45 minutes to make. The only part we are not too satisfied is their small portions. I could probably finish the Paella myself even though it said serve two on the menu.

Overall our experience here was fine. The cocktails were tasty and provided a food variety. The service was really slow, as in it took 2.5 hours to eat dinner with a reservation starting at 630. The food was ok but overall not a lot of crowd pleasers. The pork belly was far too fatty, the ropa Vieja had a very strong unusual smokey flavor and the medianoche could have had more mustard or pickles since it was a little bit dry.

We dined at Copa and were incredibly disappointed with both the food and the service. The food was bland and lacking flavor as well as we found multiple bones including a large tail bone throughout our paella. The waiter was inattentive during the meal and it took him 5 mins after bringing out the entrees to bring us plates. Instead of suggesting a dessert he immediately suggested we go elsewhere for dessert that evening.

Hands down our favorite restaurant in Durham. Food is incredible, fresh, and unique. Cocktails on point, service is fantastic. We have been for a few limited menu events including Valentine’s Day – never disappoints!

Fantastic experience here for a one night stay in Durham. The cocktail menu has great variety and we loved our drinks (mescal margarita and their take on a Manhattan.)

The restaurant was warm and inviting. The menu online gave me a feeling of nostalgia and opulence from a soil to table experience. The best part was the service. Waiter Doug served with excellence and intelligence knowing the menu front to back. With only two minutes before the kitchen closed they still made the Paella that takes 45minutes. Owner came out to talk after dinner and explained the inspiration. Just a fantastic culinary experience.

The service was good, the atmosphere was serene unfortunately the food was disappointing. I asked for condiments for the pork, mojito was delicious and necessary for flavor. The flan was bitter and the expresso machine was broken with no coffee choices. The living wage 20% adjustment added to the bill was an insult and should have been discussed prior to seating.

Do not go here, the food was very expensive and the portions were very small. We were only 2 people and left hungry. Ordered 2 apps and 2 main courses. The fish was a ridiculously small portion, actually a joke for the price. The apps included 6 tiny shrimp and 4 tiny meatballs. The bill included a 20% Living Wage Fee, never heard of this and they asked for a tip on top of it. The service was rookie level and the food was not great. Posted a photo of our $101 bill, no drinks included. Avoid at all costs, unless you are throwing your money away. I always tip well at restaurants and do not need them to add in a 20% mandatory fee and then guilt me into leaving an additional tip on top of that.
