The penne vodka here has some great reviews so I tried it today and was so disappointed. It tastes like it was drowned in cheap tomato sauce. There is barely any cheese and it tastes like pasta sauce from a can from the grocery store. Not sure if its always this way or someone got lazy but thatll be the last time I try the penne vodka. 2/10 I usually order pizza from here and its really good but the pasta is a different story.

Mangia is our go to for pizza in Toms River. Tonight’s Brooklyn grandma with cupped pepperoni and hot honey didn’t disappoint! Delish!

Wow! The pizza is amazing! My husband got mushroom and pepperoni slice and I got a pesto mozzarella thin crust square piece, and little man had a plain slice! My family just wanted to run in and get a slice of pizza. Didn’t look at reviews or anything just popped up here and happy I did. The staff are great! So nice and very pleasant. I have a 15 month old and the worker came to deliver our slices and asked if I wanted it cut for my son. I said yes he took it back cut it and brought it back with no problems. Which I appreciate! Honestly right before I made my review I did read a bunch of reviews and I don’t think they gave this place a chance. I am excited to try something from the dinner menu soon. The pizza though is slammin!!!!!

The new Palermo: Sicilian style square with light, airy crust, sweet plum tomato sauce, imported parmigiana & oregano, olive oil and of course, mozzarella. This is the best pizza I’ve had in a very long time and my family loves it too! It has a sweetness to it that just makes you want more! A lot of thought & care went into this new creation and it’s worth every penny! I’ve had other pizza here that is very good but the Palermo is my new “go-to! Thanks for making a good pizza…

I ordered a simple large pepperoni Sicilian pizza on dec 19/2022 and got only a cheese Sicilian. I asked for what I actually ORDERED AND PAID FOR! And the pizza owner sends me cold pepperoni. What a joke. I haven’t ordered from this place since 2014 and I promise you I will never again make that mistake.

Sad I have to leave this review, but as someone who orders from here almost weekly, I must say I’m highly disappointed. The food is usually hit or miss, but today 7/26, I’m actually appalled. The pizza I got was obviously made God knows when and quickly reheated, due to the cardboard texture. For $30 for a pizza I expect better than that, or I could order Dominoes. Willing to give them another chance, hopefully they get it right the next time as I can’t afford jaw replacement surgery. 3/5

Honestly, I’ve given this place more than enough chances. I know that pizzeria’s can be hit-or-miss but this place is always a miss recently. Nobody talks to each other, everyone seems miserable and has a terrible attitude like your being there is an inconvenience. I waited over 30 minutes for a cheesesteak and 2 pieces of pizza when there was nobody else in the restaurant. I over heard at least 2 other phone calls from people complaining their order was wrong in that 30 minutes. I’d be miserable too if I worked somewhere that gets every other order wrong. Pizza was burnt, cheesesteak cold and was missing the peppers and onions I orderd, I tried talking to the owner and he’s so rude, nothing but excuses, even when he replies to other reviews. 1000% will not be back and I’d recommend no one waste their money here.

I’ve tried many pizza places in Toms River, but Mangia Brick Oven Pizza is hands down my favorite. The crust is perfectly crispy, the sauce has just the right amount of tang, and the toppings are always fresh. Their pizza never disappoints!
