My wife and I loved the food and atmosphere. The flavors reminded us of eating in India where we have traveled to several times. The servings were very generous, we only got an appetizer and one main course to share with some rice and we ended up taking food home with us. We look forward to returning for another great experience.

I find all the negative reviews interesting, because when I was there, everything was fine. The food was very good– I appreciated the mild/medium/hot tiers. Everyone can get the spiciness level they want that way. The staff was attentive, we did not have to ask for refills on our water at all (I hate when I have to ask– huge pet peeve) I could see where the service could be a little overbearing if you’re more of a self-serve kind of person, but all in all I really can’t complain. Probably one of the best mango lassi I’ve had, too.

My family has been dinning at Tandooris for over a decade and it is our favorite restaurant in WNY!

The atmosphere is very cold and unwelcoming I must say. When we ordered our food and drinks, the waiter was extremely aggressive. Very strange and unfriendly attitude. He kept pushing us to order more food and alcohol every ten minutes or so and wandered around us. He also mistook my order..

Not recommend at all. Generally unfriendly staff… lets just say not welcoming. Overpriced entrees and sides, rice not included with entree (only Indian restaurant I have come across that does this), entrees just so-so… for the price you would expect amazing…but it isnt at all. Makahni was smoky flavored, almost artificial tasting. Chicken was low quality fatty dark meat. Amazed this place has any good reviews.

I frequent Tandoori’s quite often and love many of their dishes. The spices and style of food is a refreshing change to Mexican, Italian, seafood places that are all over the place.

My mom has been taking me to indian places for 20 years and this is the best place either of us have ever been. The food is delicious and has depth of flavor, and the service was incredibly hospitable. I don’t give five stars lightly. This is top-tier indian food.

When my husband and I are in town we usually go to Kabab and Curry (K&C). This past Valentine’s we drove to K&C for dinner eager to see their new location. After waiting about 10 minutes were told they were booked solid. Okay, it was Valentine’s, but when they’d been at their old location we’d never had trouble being seated no matter the holiday.

1) Food is of poor quality and very oily at best without any taste , if you order anything with paneer, it will taste like car tire boiled in water for years although their Nan bread is good. After eating their curry I got sick and could not sleep whole night.

This review might be lengthy but will save you time, money, and trouble. I will save you from a horrible experience. Tandoori’s is HORRIBLE! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. First off, I walk in and look around and this place has the feel of being better than what it really is. Not welcoming at all. For decoration they chose to hang saris on the wall to look like fancy drapery. The sculptures on the wall could be bought for 50 rupee in India which is equivalent to under an american dollar. Now to the food. I would like to say that the menus were very nice, with vibrant pictures of Rajasthan architecture. The server brings out two vegetable pakoras with fancy tooth picks with coriander sauce and tamarind sauce. They try to look five star by glorifying fried vegetables that tasted microwaved. He also brings a papadum made from lentil. What they are really doing is distracting you from their overpriced menu. So my girlfriend orders the Vegetable Jaipuri and I order the Paneer Chilli Millie. The owner/manager comes over and asks us if we want drinks and we say no and he only asks this to bring the drink menu to another table. I think okay thats fine. What comes next is what got me the most. It takes 30 minutes until the server comes and while refilling our water we have to ask whats taking so long. Dont they keep track of the paying customer’s food? The owner/manager glances at our table and walks to the kitchen and I’m thinking they will finally bring the food. The cook comes back with plates saying “Your food will be right out.” Now the cook and the server are two different people. Keep this in mind as you read this review. It takes another 5 minutes. Once they come back they only bring one dish, the vegetable jaipuri. We have to ask where the other one is. Its like they are afraid to bring it up that they didnt cook the other dish because it didnt go through in the system. That or they think we would forget. The portion size is very small and overpriced. $13.00 for what should be $10.00 at most! The same dish at Kabab and Curry would be $10.00 and a much larger portion and not taste like frozen chinese stir fry vegetables you buy at sams club. The best part is that there is a hair in the food. Not hair from someone’s head either. It was small and curly. You guessed it! A PUBIC HAIR!!!. Im not joking. Mind you, the manager has not come over at all during our time of waiting for our food to tell us its on its way or anything. We tell the server and she felt horrible and was very apologetic. She was the saving grace throughout the whole experience. We say we want the check. They bring out my Paneer Chilli Millie. I opt not to take it with me out of fear that there would be a hair in it. Then the cook comes out, clueless, saying “What is wrong with the dish?”. I said there is a pubic hair in it. He takes the dish away. We tell them to only charge for what we have eaten. They bring the check over and the bill is still $20.00 for one dish and naan. The manager couldn’t apologize or offer to pay for the meal??? Nope. The cook comes back and with a condescending tone says “That wasn’t my fault.” I lost it at this point. I said “I didn’t say it was your fault,” and left. The manager couldn’t even make eye contact with me. As we were putting on our coats he walks by and has his hand up waving and saying bye like the spineless cheapskate that he is. This is not how you run a restaurant folks. They should be ashamed. They don’t respect the customer at all. If you want food like this, take $5.00 and go to Tops and buy frozen vegetables and heat them up. You’ll save a lot of money and it will probably taste better.
