A favorite in Vermont that surprisingly gets better every time! I remember coming here when I was a kid and it being delicious – they have fantastic options for kids as well as a ‘young adult’ menu that gives higher quality food in smaller portions for the older kids. After visiting this past time, we really noticed some of the food shot up in quality – all our appetizers were extremely unique and delicious, and the entrees were fantastic portions and great! I started with the duck quesadillas, and it was prepared amazingly! For the entree I had the steak frites and it was great! Sampled the whitefish (I believe swordfish) from someone in our party and it was delicious garnished in a chimichurri sauce! Be prepared, the restaurant is pretty expensive, but if you are looking for your ‘night-out’ dinner, this is a great option with some delicious food. Will be back again many times!!

Fantastic meal with wonderful service, highly recommended. We had salmon and two different duck dishes which were very good. One of them had a blueberry tarragon gastrique which was really good and I will try to recreate it.

First timer from Florida… it’s served the best food I tasted. Best services from all everyone especially our the server! Best place to eat while you here at the ski resort.

Great place! Ambience is nice; dimly lit and rustic. The venison chili is bucket list potential and the charcuterie was top notch. The Apple Galette was a bit chewy but had plenty of flavor! All in all a great dinner in a nice resort!

Quirky restaurant in the Smugglers Notch resort, in which you have to go downstairs to get upstairs. The restaurant is quite cozy , but not crowded. Some nights there are live music. I had a venison loin there a few years ago which was amazing. This year I had scallops on a bed of risotto which was a bit one note in flavor but well cooked. Also had the venison pasta which was completely unseasoned. However, the cheese ravioli was amazing. If the restaurant becomes a little more consistent with flavor, it will deserve a full 5 stars. Overall a good place to eat at the resort (or even if you’re in the area).

My family and I are locals and we love going to the hearth! The food an atmosphere is absolutely wonderful! My husband had their special of prime rib on Saturday night! He loves prime rib and gets it a lot of places. He stated by far this was the best he has ever had!! We have always had amazing food here! Highly recommended!

The service was excellent. Our dinners were very good. We just were confused with $100 gift certificate, didn’t spend the full amount but alcoholic drinks had to be paid separately ($26-) and balance left on the gift certificate could not go towards the tip. Everything was very good.. just the way they billed the check out (not saying anything prior to ordering and we lett the server know we had the certificate) prior to ordering?

Amazingly good food. I wasn’t expecting this level of quality at a ski resort. I had the strip steak one night and came back another night to get the pork shank. Both dishes were cooked perfectly. Sat at the bar both times and the bartenders were great with their recommendations and made great convo.

The food here is really amazing. Especially considering it is at a ski resort. Would have been five stars except we were seated in children’s section and there was a baby that shrieked about every 2 minutes for the majority of our dinner. DON LET THEM SEAT YOU IN CHILDRENS SECTION. There is a whole other floor with no children. Tell them you are all adults unless you have babies!
