This has been my 3rd time coming to this establishment. The food has always been a hit and I have ordered different things everytime. Oxtails, jerk chicken, Mac stack, Mac and cheese, greens, banana pudding, and let’s not forget the Akbar Juice. This place makes my whole family excited when we grab food from there and it is always delicious. High recommended. Keep up the great work!

This take out spot is small but delicious. The owner is friendly and will make recommendations based on the daily selection. If you don’t order try the jerk wings then you’re missing out! And I never leave without the sweet potato shuffle.

I placed my order via grub hub. Never again. I ordered smothered turkey wings. Nothing was smothered about it. I ordered 2 sides of garlic mashed potatoes I didn’t receive either. They sent me 1 cold potato salad looking type side. I got the notification from grub hub about my order changes and the price increased. I called the store twice to see what changes were being made. No answer x 2. I requested gravy on my chicken. Didn’t get that either. Instead I received one piece of dry chicken wing. The store didn’t bother to give me a courtesy call about my order and its changes. Had they did I would’ve just cancelled the order. I ordered a side of sweet potato soufflé tasted like straight cinnamon. Disgusting. Just an all around waste of money. Luckily grub hub refunded me.

They are horrible. I ordered food on Saturday. The delivery time was 60-75 minutes out. When I believed the food was en route nearly an hour later someone called me to tell me they’d sold out of my choice of meat …. turkey wings. Perturbed I advised I believed the food was en route. He offered an item that cost less, I had to inquire as to how the difference in cost would be made up. I was offered an extra vegetable. Livid, I accepted. Thirty minutes later I called back as the order did not show to be moving on Doordash and learned the order was not completed but advised it would be three more minutes. Five minutes later, the order is still not moving. Do not patronize this joke of an establishment. I am approaching two hours and counting…ridiculous. Apparently they cook the orders as they are ordered.

I am highly disappointed in this place of service. Learning that there was a soul food restaurant in Lawrenceville really excited me, however I have attempted to go to this restaurant several times, and upon arrival no one is ever there. I also have tried several different timings from opening to close I can never seem to get the opportunity to try this place. Update your hours, and actually be there!
