Food is nowhere near what it used to be. It used to taste great and was good prices good atmosphere Etc. Now the food is average at best. The beef in the tacos is super salty and no flavor. The chicken and the enchiladas is so-so. You cannot cut through the enchilada with a fork to take a bite you need a knife and they do not give you a knife unless you ask for one. And forget about a spoon.

Visited from PA last week and enjoyed the food! Cute little spot, the wait staff was on point and were very friendly and helpful. We shared a few appetizers and were stuffed!The food was . My favorite was the chicken nachos. Recommend!

We used to be huge fans of Carmel’s. Went there for years! But our first trip back last Friday was horrible! Haven’t been since it was sold. We will never go back. Food was ok, service was horrible. Waited forever to be waited on, then nothing on the menu for margaritas. No sizes no prices. We ordered a strawberry and blue raspberry. Could barely drink them. There is such a thing as being too strong! Then you’re charged .25 for flavoring? LOL never ever have we encountered that. Ordered queso which was ok but no chips were served with it, so we asked for some and was charged for them! No plates ,silverware or napkins until we asked for them. Horrible experience all the way around! Food and drinks were much better back in the day. Split a chimichanga because normally they are big, nope barely enough for 2. After spending $63.00 on 3 margaritas, queso and one chimichanga we will never go back! 6.00 margaritas is ridiculous for the small glasses they use! Very disappointed!!

I would never eat there they are very disgusting like they customer service terrible they let customers disrespect people that live in the area i walk around here all the time and they customer literally ran me off the road and they were very disrespectful about what they did umm no don’t spend money with them it doesn’t look clean either

Love this place! I have been coming here sense I was 19yrs old. Haven’t been back here in several years. Moved away for quite some time. Stopped in a few month’s ago, sat on the patio for dinner and drinks. Was presently surprised that the food and margaritas tasted just as yummy as I remembered Met up with friends last weekend for a late dinner and drinks. Margaritas and dinner was on point! The waitress was attentive and serves was good but I ordered a chimichanga by its self. She brought our food out and said to me that they gave me the meal ( included rice and beans) witch I said I didn’t want all of that but it was fine. I was shocked that when we got our bill that she charged me for the meal witch I did not order the meal! After waiting quite some time for her to come back, I used the restroom. When came back by boyfriend payed the bill, so asked him if he brought to her attention for charging us for a meal price when I ordered just the chime? He said no….. I don’t think we should have payed for something more than what I ordered….. I’ll be back but I just thought that was wrong on her part!!

Once a premier Mexican restaurant…Carmel’s has lost it’s way. Slow service and average food. I cannot recommend Carmel’s any longer. I’m sure it is still great drinking at the bar and eating super Nachos . But restaurant side is not up to the tasks required to make Carmel’s a great place to dine

This was hands-down the best restaurant in this area as far as Mexican good goes!!! Omg Loma Linda?? Who is THAT?!? They and many others don’t even compare! And the cost was super low, I was surprised by the Tex Mex Nachos I ordered, they were served in a dish bigger than the state of Texas! Maybe even Alaska!!! We will be back! I want to try your margaritas! We didn’t have opportunity to do that yet and have heard good things.
