As other folks have mentioned in their reviews, be careful ordering drinks at this place. Dreary and dark Mexican karaoke bar. Went for a quick drink with some friends of mine, and got scammed. When we went to pay after 45 minutes in the bar, the line items on the bar tab didn’t add up to its total, and as much as two of my party tried, the staff would not recognize the ‘error’ which cheated my group out of approximately $30. The bar also added on an 18% tip even though our group only had a few drinks and water, ordered and picked up the drinks at the bar, and ate nothing (think about that). Attempts to resolve the matter were met with hostility from the staff, and our party thus reluctantly left, albeit infuriated at having being ripped off. Avoid.

Stumbled upon this place during our visit to NY. We were staying at the Sheraton in New Jersey and this was one of the only places open at midnight. The food was amazing, drinks were strong and service was great!

Excellent food and spirits. The ambience and comfort of a family restaurant. Love everything about this historical spot hidden between Weehaken and Union City New Jersey. Suggestion- They need a better bartender, someone who knows how to do all the mixed drinks well.

Place seemed nice until we ordered the meats and they gave us a small amount of pieces which it wasn’t that great and for the price wasn’t worth it! but beware they over charge you and added 18% tip without customers concent! When I decided to call their attention about it, the waitres caught an attitude and argued with us which I believe it was on call for! Don’t recommend the place since they try to rob you! I suggest for everyone who goes there to check your bill and remember everything you ordered. I don’t recommend it!

Came for the karaoke that the website says happens monday-sunday but it actually doesn’t. I think the bartender said thursday? It was a super quiet tuesday night and only 4 people there. Bartender was nice. I was a little shocked when i ordered two whiskey cokes, gave a $20 and got no change back. Maybe it gets lit in here on a weekend?
