Lonni’s is a St. Pete institution! The bread is as soft as a cloud and all the sandwiches are delicious. They don’t skimp on fillings, the prices are fair, it’s always a great lunch option to take away- or dine-in if you can snag one of the few tables. Cookies are big and delicious if you deserve a treat, too.

As a native and lover of DTSP, I can tell you Lonnie’s is the best sandwich shop in St. Pete. Their best sandwich, which should be on their menu all year round, is the Sweet and Sassy (monthly special). I had several sandwiches (Sunny Bird, Albuquerque Turkey, Nutty Chicken Salad, etc.), all of which were amazing, but this gem of a cuban sandwich is next level! The staff is amazing – they know me by name and are always friendly. Try Lonnie’s out the next time you’re in downtown St. Pete, you’ll be glad you did!

I love their wild rice bread and their sandwiches! I think Phillip the owner is doing a fantastic job! The Sunny Bird Sandwich is our favorite. The whole staff is impecable! I do wish some more cookies were available but I love cookies and have eaten there for many many years!

Had the strawberry goat cheese salad with balsamic. It was delicious. Tons of cheese. Perfect for a hot day. Can’t wait to come back and try the soups, when it’s not so hot out. Very clean. Friendly, efficient staff.

Fantastic local sandwich shop, everything is homemade from the bread to the soups. I recommend going everyday Monday through Friday and trying the special sandwich of the day a special price, each of them are delicious in their own way. I just started working in downtown St Pete and have already been here twice. Nice option for eating inside or out oh, and people watching. Plenty of regular iced tea, mango tea, sodas, etc. Their homemade bread is so soft and delicious oh, they hand cut it for every sandwich, so so good!
