At our Bainbridge, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

When captain D’s serves fresh food it is good, but when do they serve fresh food anymore? Every time I order grilled fish the rice under it is hard and not edible. Today they left off the crab cakes and shrimp off the deluxe platter after spending $35.91 there. Seems to be some kind of issue every visit. After waiting 30 mins on food you would think what you are getting would be fresh.

Once again NO baked potatoes. Paid for baked potato but ended up having to have fries with grilled fish. Didn’t offer me a refund for the extra I paid for the potato. Fries are stale and only one fork for 2 people. Didn’t give us our water so had to go back then we were told it was the same price as a coke. No more Captai D’s for me.

I purchased 2 catfish feast for my husband and I. The 3 pieces of fish in each dinner was barely big enough to make one piece. Rice was way hard. We could not eat. Fish was barely warm. I live like 4 min away. I called to the store and all the guy could say was sorry and he didn’t know a number for me to call and complain. Poor customer service. Food was not satisfying at all.

Omgggggggg the food was so good. I got the spicy two piece with coleslaw and fries. I had the malt vinegar sauce added to my bag and used it on my fish. Delicious ! It was hot and fresh!

Ordered the 2 pc catfish plate, I have never seen such small pieces and the fries were cold. My husband ordered the grilled fish, it was burnt, looked liked blacken fish. Even his bread stick was bad. Wait time is ridiculously slow.

Fresh and hot, I went about 30mins are they opened and my food was so good. Captain D’s in Thomasville can learn a lesson or two from Bainbridge. Customer service was Great and I received my food in timely and orderly fashion.

I ordered the grilled white fish for the first time, it was delicious with great flavor. The service was a little on the slower side, but they were busy. update: food is still good but don’t go here unless you have at least an hour to wait in the drive-thu for your food!!

Slowest service ever!!!! Tried to pull up into drive through and worker was standing outside with rolling trash can talking to car just stopped in parking lot. Couldnt get by them at all, worker looked up at me and continued conversation. I had to leave parking lot and go through another entrance to even get into drive through line after waiting for 5 minutes. She eventually let that car and came and talked to car in drive through leaving rolling trashcan in the middle of parking lot. Ordered food (only 2 meals) at 635 and its now 7 and the same car that was waiting at the window is still there…..line hasnt moved in 25 minutes!!! And its always like this!!! Thought i might give them another chance bc i havent come back in awhile bc of this same issue. It will be the last time I come here!! Ill pay more and go to a nonchain local place next time!!
