Okay I was previously a frequent customer of the original Black Roots “Jamaican ” restaurant however for the last few months they had been closed so I called today and was happy to hear that they were open for business. I got home and I kid u not I couldn’t even eat the food I ordered, which was oxtail rice n peas cabbage yams. It was horrible n nothing about that meal was jamaican of any sort. No spice no flavor and all of it soggy n mushy as hell. White rice with hard beans cabbage waayyy overcooked yams looked mashed they were so overcooked and oxtail weren’t tender had no flavour they were just salted. I dont believe in writing bad reviews but nothing good could be said about this new cook that made the food. The new management needs to rehire cooks I won’t be back and I doubt if people will come there for the Jamaican flavorful food the store once sold. Simply Aweful
