Repugnant, lazy, uninventive is the best way I can describe food from tomo I ordered a poke salad for $15 and for that, I got a handful of lettuce and some cuttings of raw fish. With no imaginable flavor in the whole dish. If this is what they’re presenting as quality I wouldn’t even waste imagining what rest of there dishes are like. The only explanation for the high ratings must be the poor quality of food Yuma patrons must endure and have to accept any popup restaurants as hope of change. Sadly to say this place is the same. If you want expensive cat food come here but I think any feline that is fed this would report you for cruelty to animals.

Small hole in the wall restaurant, sushi place was good not great but decent. Prices are fair but portions are small even if it’s a two for 1 deal. Overall I probably will be back. Sushi was tasty and noodles good; kids liked it. Spent 26 bucks on pictures shown . I recommend it for Yuma.

Sushi was not fresh. This place is definitely violating food health protocols, never saw the guy wash his hands after handling rolls. The guy making sushi was friendly towards me but definitely not towards his workers just from overhearing their conversations. Very unsanitary, avoid!

I came here because of the name and the reviews on yelp. There is a Tomo Japanese Restaurant on the west side of Phoenix that is one of my favorites. This place did not disappoint. I came in and Victoria made me feel like I was at home. I sat close to the sushi bar and was greeted by Chef Don who is the owner. I looked at the menu and struck a conversation with the chef. I told him I liked tuna and asked if he could make me a chef’s special. He made the best tuna roll I have ever had. It was perfect. The large amount of tuna with the perfect amount of spice and flavor. The best part was sweating to see the bill and was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be eating here again.

Excellent sushi and great service! We had the gyoza, tuna tataki, and 6 rolls and everything was fresh and tasted very good! The staff was very welcoming of our large group (10 people total who all ordered a variety of dinners) and all our drinks never went empty! Would definitely eat here again.

This is hands down one of my favorite places to eat in Yuma and I frequent it often. Love everything about Tomo. Sometimes the service can be underwhelming but the food served is always top Quality. Which is why I come back. It’s a sushi place in the desert so it can’t be compared to places next to the ocean but the fish is fresh. BYOB and a great atmosphere.
