I originally posted the review for another restaurant that that I went to that week under this restaurant. I apologize if anyone went there for the menu item that I reviewed.

Authentic Mexican food. We ordered the Molcajete for two and it was so much food we couldn’t finish it. Everything was tasty and cooked to perfection. Great find in Canton OH

Food is excellent here. The Barbacoa taco special they have is delicious and the nachos are loaded with cheese and beef and it was well seasoned. Rice is also good. Unfortunately though service is considerably slow both times I’ve been here.

Fun outside area with a large bar, stage and a place to dance. The food was really good and the margaritas were delicious. Ginormous portions and never ending tasty chips. ❤️

From friendly service to the taste of the food, 5 stars! I had the best waitress who recommended a delicious drink. For dinner, I chose the Hawaiian Quesadilla. Hands down the best. It was sweet, savory and salty all at once.

They have what looks to be a very extensive and delicious sounding menu. However every time we have gone there we get the Barbacoa Tacos! Soooo good. Not on the regular menu but on the “special” placard that sits on the tables. We also had a flan for desert. Probably the best I’ve had anywhere…

nice restaurant, good decor, great service. the chips and salsa were excellent. The barbacoa tacos were both crispy and a little soggy; the barbacoa broth however made up for that shortcoming. guacamole was excellent and all reasonably priced.

After flying all day, my copilot and I were looking forward to a nice Cinco de Mayo experience. You would think they would have more than one bartender at the outside bar on the one day they probably should be able to do it right, but sadly no. Should have known better when the 2 other pilots being picked up by the hotel shuttle said “Good luck”. We were barely acknowledged being there before having to ask for drink and meal menus. We ordered the big glass house margs but were given the smaller size which were down before the bartender even came around again. Our food took more than an hour and the temperature was luke-warm at best. While this place was recommended by locals and hotel staff I cannot see why. Needless to say we were more than disappointed with our meal and expereince. The music provided by the DJ was fun but loud enough to make it hard to communicate with eachother and staff. Will probably find another place for Mexican food next time we visit the area.

The Barbacoa Tacos were a pleasant surprise! I believe that they are a limited time menu item, but were well prepared. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the meal. It was quieter and cleaner than El Campesinos. The food had less flavor than El Campesinos, and for those who enjoy the Mexican music and atmosphere… El Camps wins again. El Campesinos remains my top choice for authentic Mexican food, but Tlaquepaque is a nice way to switch up food choices; especially if you want to have a conversation over dinner.
