Trying this restaurant because they have a promotion on Lobster noodle at $20. Their menu has some unique Chinese dishes, and some dishes are similar to Vancouver, BC restaurants. Price is more expensive than others, but the size of dishes is big. Overall, the dishes taste excellent!

Ding Feng is not too bad. It looks pretty ghetto from the outside, as does the little strip mall it’s a part of. Looking past that however, inside isn’t bad. It’s just a big open room with a lot of tables and happy people eating. Dim Sum is not too shabby. Prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly. My wife tells me the bathroom was clean, which is always a good sign.

DING FENG’s current restaurant used to be Joy Palace. Since the new owner took over, I’ve seen some new items on the menu, and they are good. One of those that I find so delicious is the BBQ duck. It’s $22 for half and $40 for a whole. It costs more than anywhere else, but it is awesomely good. No coloring, no fake taste like in other places.

The service is very good and the seafood is very fresh, the waiter will always replace the dirty plates, and I will come again next time!

My sister ordered me a dish for my bday through DoorDash, an abalone dish 8-10 pcs but came in with 1 piece abalone. And she paid $38 for 1 piece abalone.

Came here for dim sum on Wednesday. After they changed the name, the service is actually way better when it was Joy Palace!

In the past 3 years, we had dinner at this restaurant when it was Joy Palace and now Ding Feng. All previous waiter staff was replaced. The quality of the food is declining. The service is unfriendly and stingy. As a pre meal snack, the restaurant offers a small handful of salted peanuts on a shallow dish about less than 3 inch diameter. While waiting for our foods, we asked for a second serving of peanuts. The head waitress curtly and loudly said “NO, ONLY ONE TIME.” We had customers at a close by table looked at us. We have never been at a restaurant that refused this low cost snack while waiting for foods to be served. Surely, this waitress did not know the value of the customer service and tipping vs price of peanuts.

I visited this place for dinner last Friday. The services was great and welcoming. The lobster noodles were on special and it tasted like very fresh and in a good size! Our family were very satisfied and enjoyed our dinner, definitely will come back and try more foods here.

I’d love to support new restaurants, but please do not reuse the same tea pot, charge and serve to the next guests.

Venerable institution Joy Palace has become Ding Feng. Same great food, new owner and new name. Highly recommend eating here.
