We were planning on going to a different restaurant on the Downtown Burien strip, stumbled across Dek Thai, and decided to check it out instead. Boy, am I glad we did! The food was delicious and incredibly fresh, the flavors were perfect, the atmosphere was simple and peaceful, and the service was charming. Definitely highly recommended 10/10

Took a while to for someone to come over and take our drink order even though there was only one other couple in on a week night. But once they came it was all fast and good. The spice level is def higher than most places. A 2 out of 5 was pretty spicy. Appetizer sampler was a good call!

This place is generally good, ordered to go from them several times and nothing usually wrong with our order but yesterday we ordered and I’m not sure if it was maybe something else, but my stomache didn’t feel too good after eating the meal . On top of that found a whole sticker on the bell peppers in one of our entrees. The cashew chicken. This just goes to show that they don’t wash their produce

I’ve just order the chicken satay and the chicken was sour. Called to see if it’s just the seasoning and the lady who answered was rude and gave the excuse of the weather and refrigerating issue. If that’s the case then why even sale it? This could cause a major food illness to the customers. Very disappointed.

I’ve come here many times now (and ordered online), the food (and Thai coffees!) are always super tasty and pair well with the calm atmosphere of the restaurant. The owner is really friendly, every interaction has been welcoming and pleasant by him. Wide variety of dishes, each super flavorful and good. You can choose the amount of spice as well, if you’re someone who worries about heat. 🙂

Unfortunately, all the reviews about the customer service are true. The lady is SO rude, never gives you what you ask for and is always yelling if you ask to make a change of order. I’ve gone 3 times because I work near by and this Friday she was so mad that I was paying with cash and she was yelling about it. Every time I come she has an attitude. The food is always good but it’d be great if I was allowed to customize my order the way I want it.

Mango Red Curry is AMAZING!!! They do a lot of take-out. So it must be good to go. Service is great. I haven’t had an empty glass yet. I have eaten here twice now. Very consistent both times. Very clean! Wide variety on the menu. I will be back. Daniel is a great server who made some excellent recommendations tonight!

Even though I have my favorite Thai restaurant to go to, I always give another Thai restaurants a tryout and support my fellow Thai! Yesterday we went to DekThai in Burien. Our food was served on a fresh banana leaf lined aluminum plate….not sure if that was a good idea and here is why.

Sadly would not recommend this place. So sad to hear all the reviews saying negative things about this place but, honestly they are well deserved. I got the garlic chicken and my partner got pad see ew. You could CLEARLY tell it was microwaved and my chicken was coated in many sugary layers (1 to 5 chicken to sugar ratio) and gross. The atmosphere was also so dreary. I wanted to support a small business but, you have to put effort. Looking for a good Thai place? I’d recommend simply Thai in the Southcenter area and Ban SomTum in federal way.
