We have been long time customers of Los Compadres. The last several times we have been there our food and service has not been good. Los Compadres used to be one of the best in our area but not anymore. Tonight I ordered a taco salad and it was terrible. The meat inside was lukewarm and did not taste good. There was so much meat in the taco salad I could not taste anything else. The steak on my son’s plate was very fatty and chewy. When we went the restaurant was not busy. We had to keep flagging down our waitress even though she was standing behind the counter.

We where headed to little Italy across the street for a anniversary lunch, they where closed. Stopped in here (I could tell my wife was like oh no Mexican again) and really glad we did. Food was excellent and hot salsa was actually a little hot and delicious. My buddy Daniel Black said this place was good, he always ways knows

The atmosphere is upbeat with customers shuffling about and they sure pack em in there. For the price and menu, I give this place a big thumbs up. Good food, great vibe. Only gripe is ventilation not too great, you’ll be leaving the place smelling like sizzled steak. Will I bring guests here? For sure, but they should be briefed about the ventilation.

Updated review: I’ve changed my initial review because the manager was quick to respond about the issue we had with our first experience here. This time the food was fresh and very good. They were very busy when I arrived but they moved quickly to get everyone taken care of. We will definitely be returning in hope we keep having these good experiences

My party was seated immediately and our drink orders taken right away.. we didn’t wait longer than a couple of minutes before our waitress was back and took our order. Atmosphere was laid back and our food was served quickly. My husband and I shared the Pollo fundido and both of us got full and took home a portion for later. We were happy with our choice for lunch. Would and do recommend to our friends and associates as our fav for Mexican food in Easley.
