I’ve actually been to the bamboo shack in the Bahamas well over 30 times and this is actually a great start to their American franchises. It tastes just like the Bahamian bamboo shack except for the roll is not quite the same. The inside was very clean and not crowded at all but we still had to wait 20 minutes for our food. Once the food came it was hot, fresh, and very delicious the conch was so tender I really couldn’t believe it honestly. I had a great experience but I have seen that others have not and I invite the management team to reach out to them to see why they’ve had such a negative experience when I had such a great one. Overall, I would definitely stop here for a bite to eat if I’m not in a rush. Maybe calling ahead could work. Update: they have improved the roll and it’s definitely the same as bamboo from back home in the Bahamas

This place is the real deal! Authentic Bahamian food! The conch was very tender! the conch fritters was conchie! and the macaroni was so good! I am glad I didn’t leave South Florida without trying them.

Never Again!! I was introduced to Bamboo Shack about 6 years ago from a Bahamian guy friend. He took me their one night, whispered something in the employee ear and ordered 2 conch snacks. Needless to say, the food was hot, the conch was crispy and fresh so I had to go back.

I was visiting Miami after my 4 hour drive to a family member around the surround area. We decided to pop in and grab some lunch, being as Bahamian delicacies are rare in my town. I ordered the crack conch snack with the works(mayo, ketchup & hot sauce on top) I was only missing the onions. This was the Bomb the conch wasn’t hard it was nicely seasoned and fluffy. The portion of conch could be increased, but it was all worth the trip. I washed it down with the best beer of the Bahamas Kalik Gold.

I ordered postmates from this place tonight and I’m glad I didn’t solely base my decision to order from here on the reviews on here because I am truly satisfied especially with the entrée. I ordered the cracked conch dinner with peas and rice and mac and cheese and an order of conch fritters.

The food was fresh, we actually got to see it made. Different food made in different fryers (which is great if you have allergies). Serving size was good as well. The sky juice was great. Parking can be a problem, but other than that-it was a great experience.

I actually really like this place! The food here is cooked to order so everything is fresh the crack conch is amazing! It’s the closest thing to the Island’s I had thus far, the conch fritters were okay but filled with conch so that’s a plus. The only downside to visiting the Bamboo Shack will be your wait time but the upside is that you know the food will be fresh and hot when you receive it. The only room for improvement that I could suggest is to improve on telephone order protocols, I called in an order and gave them about 30 minutes to prepare it and when I arrive to the restaurant I still had to wait about another 20 to 25 minutes. Usually that isn’t a big deal for me but it caused me to be late for work which can leave a sour memory for other patrons. All in all this place IS worth the try, they have Bahamian women in the kitchen cooking and those ladies sure brought those skills from the islands!
