Stopped in for lunch on a rainy Tuesday. Staff was super friendly and very attentive. Great atmosphere and food. Would recommend.

Always a big fan of a grapefruit cocktail and this place has a good one. Very cozy ambience and kid freindly which was a plus. I had the meatloaf, and this is not your father’s meatloaf. It pork beef and chicken wrapped in bacon, very decadent dish. My wife had the bolognese, which was good and meaty but could have used more flavor. For dessert had the grape sorbet and mint ice cream brownie, good not great and that sums up the entire meal as a whole “good not great”. Considering the other restaurant in the resort is a pricey steakhouse with 3.5 stars this your better bet. I am not averse to paying for a pricey steak but not one with 3.5 stars. Our waitress was fantastic as well. If ever back in this area I would definitely be back.

We had our Christmas dinner here, the only place that does not require reservation and available on Christmas night. Beautiful setting in the elegant Equinox hotel. I had my best burger here and the awesome Tiramisu!

We stopped here halfway to Stowe and it was well worth the short detour. We had Duck Poutine and their Shepherd’s Pie which is made with sweet potato. The poutine was good but predictably heavy. The Shepherd’s Pie was very good, I highly recommend it.

This is tremendous place to eat! I always make sure to eat there when I’m in Vermont. I can say that the Shepherds Pie is honestly the best meal I’ve ever had in my life. I can’t get enough of that shepherds pie. I always get that when I eat there. It’s to die for! The staff and service is also great. It’s not that cheap of a restaurant, so be ready to pay. However, the shepherds pie is well worth it. I would totally recommend this restaurant (especially the shepherds pie) to anyone!

This was one of our regular spots – we made the trek over the mountain a couple of times a year for lunch at the Marsh Tavern. Service was excellent, food was good and the overall atmosphere was very refined and comfortable. But something happened and the menu changed, and frankly, its just not as appealing as it used to be. It may have been the pandemic, or it may have been a new chef, or it may have been a management decision to reduce costs, but whatever it was, the Marsh Tavern has lost its appeal.

Great food, but beware of being double charged. Also, there’s a hidden ‘historic preservation fee’ they tack on to your bill without telling you. Also, my party was seated at 2 separate tables, but they still considered us a large party and tacked on a service fee without warning. Casual lunch became an incredibly expensive proposition.

The tavern is wonderful. The food and service are outstanding. Far better than the hotel itself.

I am not sure where to start. No one was smiling who worked at the restaurant the entire night. Everyone had pained expressions. Once we ordered our drinks and placed our food order, we had to wait quite some time before our mussel appetizer arrived, which was barely heated and just so-so in terms of flavor. With our table covered in mussel dishes, our caesar salads were brought out and the server did not offer to remove the mussel dishes; we had to ask him. He seemed bothered that we had made that request and he did not come back to remove the last remaining dish. Not once during our meal did our initial waiter come to the table to inquire at to whether we needed anything or how the meal was. We watched him attend to other tables, but no effort was shown to us. This was reflected in our tip. In summary, food was ho hum and the service was lackluster. We will not be back.
