I was looking for a (non chain) restaurant that served good food but didn’t want to go to the city and fight traffic. I happened upon Autre Monde and we decided to give it a try for my b-day. We had dinner there on the patio last night and it totally exceeded my expectations, the food was fantastic!! It is not easy to maintain consistently great food on the slowest night of the week after being open for 12 years. Hats off to the chefs whom definitely put their passion on the plate last night!! Croquettes -delicious with chunks of ham. Octopus – tender, perfectly seared, even the accompanying potato was perfectly brown and crisp. Lamb shoulder – flavor incredible and the chick peas had the perfect texture.

I had a superb risotto and my friend enjoyed the chicken thighs. Great starters and sides. Plenty of food. I think the wine may have been more sophisticated than my palate; I found it good but not great. Little noisy as it filled up. Otherwise, terrific place for an out-of-the-ordinary meal.

Husband and I went to Autre Monde on a Friday evening to enjoy the patio. We each had a craft cocktail (the Provencal 75 is my favorite!) and shared several plates. I struggle to choose a favorite plate- each one was perfectly executed and hit the spot! We had the shrimp (delightfully crispy), chicken thighs (I loved the flavor), neevik (I don’t particularly enjoy spinach, but I almost ordered a second serving of this!), mezza platter (a classic- homemade pita and hummus/baba), and the Ham and Cheese croquettas. The owner, Christine, so kindly offered us a dessert on the house.

I must say they is a great restaurant, I would have never found it or just go to it on my own if it wasn’t for a friend. After 2yrs of talking about it we finally went. We ordered a lot of food but it was good. Food was great I had the steak but it really just tasted like a bland hamburger with no buns or pre seasoning. Atmosphere was nice and romantic. Our waiter could have been friendlier I let him know twice this was our first time there and just ignored the fact. I then asked for recommendations as a friend referred us and he didn’t seem to enthusiastic to share. I really likes the chef or the guy that brought us our food he was more attentive than the waiter we had to tip him separately bc the 1st guys kinda sucked especially since it seemed he didn’t care so much or maybe it was his off day idk but overall great place. In house pita and hummus was my favorite!
