I had a bad experience here about a year ago with poor service (25+ minute wait after waiting 20+ minutes to go to the restaurant to pick up an online order), so I hadn’t been back in a while.

Really delicious food, biscuits, eggs, and bacon. We came on a Friday morning and it wasn’t busy. I’m sure that changes on weekend days. The gentleman behind the counter took our order and was extremely courteous, offering some complementary cinnamon biscuits because we are a military family. ❤️ Everyone was respectful, friendly, and courteous. There was a young man cleaning up all the empty tables, so they are extremely clean here. They’ve also for fresh squeezed orange juice and espresso. It was a delightful experience having breakfast here.

It was fairly busy when I came in. I ordered the regular biscuits and gravy with two eggs. Took 40 min to get my food. It was good but not hot and the wait time seemed excessive. Also a bit pricey. I paid $17 for what you see. I recommend coming during a less busy time.

Decided to try MSBC on a whim on Father’s Day. Glad we did! Cute little restaurant, with seating both outdoors and inside. You order at the counter when you walk in, and they call your name when it’s ready and you pick it up at the next counter. One of their runners helped us carry our food to the table as we had several plates. Drinks are self-service, with cups sitting right next to the station. They have several craffe coffee options, teas (both hot and iced), and a fountain drink station. You can also order specialty drinks if you want. I ordered the Squawking Goat, my husband got the chicken and waffles. The Squawking Goat was featured on the food network back in 2010, and after that the place blew up apparently. Mine had crispy yet moist chicken on a delicious buttery biscuit, a goat cheese medallion, and sweet pepper jelly. It was delicious. My husband’s came as a huge portion with 3 pieces of fried chicken, and a huge Belgian waffle. We also ordered the maple sausage meatballs and the smashbrowns. The meatballs were cooked good, seasoned well, and came with grape jelly to dip. The smashbrowns are hash browns that are rolled into balls then smashed in the griddle. They have chives inside and are well seasoned and very crispy! Their online order/grub hub/ etc station was also consistently busy. I’m not sure the food would be as good after a car ride, but it was over the top in person. My husband is already planning several more visits to order other menu options. They have several biscuits and gravy options, omelets cooked in a waffle iron, bowls, and of course many breakfast biscuits! They have a small lunch menu too, but I didn’t look that one over much. They did give away one of their maple syrups to the dad’s for father’s day (normally $14/bottle).

I ordered an egg and cheese biscuit, and the egg was not cooked to my liking it was not done. I brought it to their attention, and they just gave me another egg. I thought it was very strange that they would not make me another egg and cheese biscuit. The cheese was cold and did not melt. The biscuits are quite small and hard, not flakey at all.

I love this place! Went here on a breakfast date with my husband and really liked the atmosphere vibe! Plenty of cool places to community like eat or sit in privacy. The music was good and not too loud. The food was super tasty and memorable, priced fairly! The coffee was great! The staff was friendly, helpful, and diligent in duties. The restaurant tables, floors, and bathrooms were clean!

I absolutely love biscuits and gravy and these are easily the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had… and vegetarian to boot! They have a sausage gravy as well, but the shittake mushroom gravy is fantastic and suits my dietary preferences. The gravy even has a bit of a kick to it, which is perfect. The coffee is good as well, but the food is definitely the star of the show. Also, super cute community atmosphere and very friendly staff. I’ll definitely make this place a regular in my eating out rotation.

I stopped here on a friends recommendation. I was visiting town for the weekend and looking for dog friendly patios. I got the Sticky Maple. Very sticky, much Maple, way good!

Anything with biscuits & gravy or chicken and waffles are amazing! Their coffee is decent. The other menu items such as the “bread pudding” is pretty meh. The service here is fantastic. My only complaint would be that they don’t explain the “question of the month”. They just assume that you know that the answer is how they say when your food is ready. It’s unique and fun, but it is also confusing since people don’t typically listen for the name of their favorite actor or the name of their favorite high school teacher.
