We visited Bub’s Burritos new location (by the post office) in Southwest Harbor. If anything, the burrito was even better than before!!! My wife and I split a roasted pork with guacamole to sustain us after kayaking all morning. Even at that level of hunger neither of us could finish our halves. Also treated ourselves to a bright and tart fresh lemonade – so refreshing and a perfect pick me up after a too long paddle. Highly recommended!

Don’t sleep on this place! Incredible flavor profiles! I personally love getting my burrito as a bowl, add a side of tortilla. The grab & go empanadas are to die for… And you MUST try the Barbacoa taco!!

I had high hopes for this restaraunt and I was a bit disappointed. I asked for a recommendation and the Tropical burrito was recommended (which was the most expensive burrito on the menu at $20). It’s the one with shrimp and pineapple salsa. First of all, I really wish they warned you about the size of the burritos. We were just coming in for a quick lunch and had we known we would have only ordered one. They are absolutely enormous. One burrito is more than enough for 2 adults, especially for lunch. Secondly, my burrito was 90% plain white rice and black beans. I ate about 25% of it and I only got 1.5 shrimps. They were big shrimp and tasted good but the proportions were just disappointing. Most of my bites were just rice and beans. I would have preferred a smaller burrito with half the amount of rice.

Bub’s was a stroke of luck find on our last day in the area. The portions are HUGE, the service is fantastic and polite, and the burrito bowls are gluten free. Many questions were asked about what is gluten free and the knowledge was apparent, which was refreshing. The touch of grilling of the burrito made it . Not a lot of seating but it worked at the time we arrived.

Hands down the biggest burrito I have ever eaten. This place is the real deal. Tasty and homemade. Prices and portions are unbeatable given the location. Do yourself a favor and try them out!

Wow! Okay, so I grew up eating authentic Mexican food and this place really hit home on the flavor profile. It was one of the best places I’ve ever been to including the food I’ve had in Mexico. Flavors pop at every bite. They also make the tortillas in house. We ordered the carne asada and the barbacoa beef burritos. Both were delicious. I wish we could add more toppings without the added cost. We ordered the barbacoa beef with pico de gallo and the fresh herb chimichurri and the carne asada with pico de gallo and the corn salsa. The only recommendation I would have is to put more pico de gallo in the burritos. The first bite was the best and I wish I could’ve had that flavor at every bite if the pico was more concentrated and dispersed through the entirety of the burrito. Not to mention the burritos were humongous and enough for two days of eating. One of the owners was very personable and talked with us while we waited for the other owner to prepare our food. He gave our dog a few treats and had a nice conversation with us. They are obviously dog friendly with outdoor seating. Definitely a place to visit time and time again if in the area.

OMG. We found this place due to a random run in with a local. She said that the burritos were as big as a small baby. She wasn’t wrong. Everything was homemade including the tortilla and you can totally tell. Bub was super nice and he thought every choice I made was awesome. Even said my name was awesome. I do think he may have said that to every customer but you can tell he LOVES his job and the food he makes. I got the chorizo my gf got the pulled pork. I am a big dude and we got two VERY filling meals out of it. Sooooo worth it.

SO GOOD!!! We were starving for some food after hiking all morning and our expectations were exceeded! Excellent and friendly service. On top of that, the burritos are HUGE! Price completely worth it. 10-15 minute wait time. You can choose your own ingredients or chose an option from the menu. I got food coma after eating this burrito from how good it was. If you’re in the harbor area and want to eat something other than seafood, this is 100% worth your time.

The food is great, especially the marinated tofu tacos, empanadas, and salsas. The portions are huge, so most can make two meals. But you should know the owners and team here are AMAZING! My son worked as a line cook this summer and the team are kind, fun, and so supportive. I think it’s important to recognize work places that create healthy, fun, supportive environments for their staff, and Bub’s owners and team are the very definition of all those qualities. Go for the food, but also know you’re supporting a fantastic local couple dedicated to our community and a healthy kitchen culture.

The main reason I didn’t really like this place is because I don’t understand the point of huge portions that nobody could reasonably even come close to finishing. (I don’t like wasting food for no reason.) If you happen to have two friends who want the same kind of burrito, you’re in luck because you can share one. Otherwise, you will end up paying $46 for two burritos like I did. Some types of food make for great leftovers. Burritos do not. I would have much preferred to pay $30 for two burritos a third of the size that didn’t go to waste.
