Primarily a craft butchery emporium providing a variety of premium wet and dry-aged steaks during the day. In the evenings at the turn of the clock we transform into a exquisite dining establishment. You will enjoy a very intimate setting with a unique view of our one-of-a-kind dry-aging room. Highlighted by a 300 sqft illuminated Himalayan salt wall, you will see cuts of prime and exotic beef such as Akaushi Wagyu, Kuroge Washu Wagyu, Australian Wagyu, A5 Wagyu (Snow Beef) from Hokkaido Japan, American Wagyu and some of the very best USDA Black Angus Beef you will ever experience.

My favorite steakhouse in DFW! This is the place if you are looking for Japanese A5 Wagyu aged and cooked to perfection! Menu is available online but may be slightly different in person depending on availabilities. The 3 course dinner for two is truly an intimate and personalized dining experience that will not be regretted. It is not an everyday dinner (expect to spend close to a grand including gratuity if you plan on treating your taste buds to the highest quality meat selection with a bottle of wine), but it definitely will be one of the best meals you will enjoy. For a fraction of the cost, lunch is also available with the same great taste!

Seriously, this is the best dining experience I have ever had. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Yes, every single cent. I have eaten steaks around the world, and Bar-Ranch is the best I have ever had. Service, top notch. Food quality, exquisite. Atmosphere, warm and welcoming. We have been several times for lunch and dinner, and we are surprised every time. You think an experience can’t get better but it does here – every single time. It is so damn good. If you haven’t eaten here, do yourself a favor and treat yourself.

I came for their BFP special at lunchtime, which was burger, fries and pie for $25. For the burger I had the Brooks Allen which has Two 4 oz griddle seared smashed Wagyu patties, Dr. Pepper caramelized onions, house made bbq sauce on a toasted brioche bun. The flavor was excellent. The special came with truffle fries and “rocket sauce” for the fries along with an apple pie.

Fantastic service, we had reservations for two. I had an off menu Australian waygu and my spouse had N.Y Strip. Both were superb. The flash seared brussel sprouts were a home run. The carrot cake was also fantastic. We will return. I loved the ambiance, only seven tables in the restaurant. It’s intimate with a private dining feel. Make reservations if you expect to get in.

My boyfriend and I have been here twice and each time the wonderful wait staff and incredible chef continue to surprise us with their attention to detail and phenomenal food. This establishment is beautifully tucked away in historic down town Plano; locally owned and operated, the experience here is unlike any other. Each course is meticulously chosen and executed perfectly. The devil is in the details and at Bar Ranch no expense is spared. The steak tartar is immaculate and every steak we’ve had has blown us away. I would highly recommend stopping by for lunch if you’re looking for something outstanding but easy on the wallet. We will continue to come back and recommend Bar Ranch to everyone we know!!!

I’ve been to BAR ranch a couple times and I have to say, it is easily one of the best restaurants in Dallas. They specialize in dry aging, and they’re the best around at that process. I tried their 800 day aged burger and it was the best burger I’ve had in my life. Downtown Plano is an up-and-coming restaurant scene, and BAR Ranch should be the first stop on any tour of the area. Start out with a lunch, and come back for the dinner. Their staff are all so nice and the chef is very friendly. Don’t forget to try the waygu rounds while you’re there.
