I usually go to the new Sax on Taunton across from the atomic salon but while I was back in town my mother told me Townie’s is ran by the original owners of the old Sax that used to be there so I decided to order my usual Steak and cheese Philly with Townie’s instead. Honestly it wasn’t as great as it used to be. The price was more when i picked it up and not as mentioned on the page. The mushrooms tasted like those canned rubbery mushrooms, Not Good! I asked for bacon to be added and I barely seen any. The steak didn’t seem seasoned at all so I ended up having to just smother my sandwich in ketchup and mayo. The only thing I can say was good about it is the bread , but imma have to just stick with the new Sax every time I’m back in town to see family.

Amazing little place with an amazing staff. I got a large steak chili and onion grinder and my fiance got a chicken parm. Both were huge, delicious, and greatly priced. 10/10 will return

Wow! I eat out every night locally and this place is awesome. I’ve had three steak, cheese and onion grinders – they were delicious each time. Fresh. Great bread! Nice people! The prices are low compared to other local places.

DELICIOUS!! Townie’s is my go-to place for pizza, sandwiches, and potato flats. I go there at least once a week, and the staff are very friendly and easy-going. Townies puts a delicious greek twist on their food, and their pizza is like no other!

This was the best Gyro I’ve ever had. It was affordable, hot, fresh, and delicious. I used online ordering and created a timed order and it was ready right when I walked in the door. The service was excellent and friendly. As I ate my Gyro, I was in love . It was the perfect amount of food for a “hungry lunch” and I was almost sad when I finished it that the amazing experience was over. Until I reached into the bag and found a SURPRISE! a perfectly sugary and delicious doughboy waiting for me that I did not know came with the order. That was the perfect size as well to cap off the Gyro for a delicious lunch. I can’t wait for my next time at Townies!

Honestly this menu has so much stuff yet everything here is so delicious! Not gonna spend a lot of money here either. Friendly staff make you feel like family. It’s definitely feel good food that’s for sure. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

I’ll start off by saying while the service was fast and the mozz sticks were very good, we probably won’t return. The cheese steak was stuffed so full of unseasoned meat I had to take out half just to be able to eat it, and I didn’t even want to because the bread was soggy too. I can tell the cheese on the pizza is low quality. The buffalo tenders are for some reason kinda sweet? And the blue cheese was inside the container with the food, so when it got to me it was hot and inedible.

I’ve only had 2 things the fish-and-chips which was good. But I gave it 2 stars because if you’re a sandwich place and you don’t know how to make a steak bomb sandwich I had to throw away not seasoned no steak peppers were so hard not even cooked a mixed in your sandwich place You should really know how to make a slamming steak sandwich in this place does not
