4.6 This is a restaurant I chose using Google Maps looking for a place to eat where we’d been before but wanted to try something else. Seeing Lamb and Pork Shanks on their menu it was a must. Their lobster rolls also looked good in one or two photos. Win win all around. Being early October, however, they were closing the summer menu so lobster rolls were not available and not having started the winter menu, shanks were not available.

The first problem was that we were seated outside at a large, older picnic table (it needed a good sanding) in the long grass, that had not been cut. Walking to the table was difficult, the ground was very uneven and a trip and fall hazard at the least, which also made the benches not sit evenly on the ground.

I love the historic ambience! Food is good. I can get salad or a meal such as Chicken French. Friendly bar staff. I had a birthday party upstairs and cannot say enough to praise Aimee and the staff for making it fun. I only wish the ghosts had joined us!

One of those old school ‘hole-in-the-wall’ bars, except there are no holes in their walls. Above average bar food. Priced reasonably, friendly staff, clean place and fun atmosphere. Only negative comment is that it’s at the tip of SeaBreeze and there’s no quick way to get there. One of the best fish fries out there.

There was something wrong with the taste of my boyfriend’s mashed potatoes. Another man at our table also said they tasted off. We told our server and she said she told the manager. A half an hour later apparently they Served the same mashed potatoes to another customer because we overheard a third man at a nearby table saying the mashed potatoes tasted bitter.
