Most of our food was amazing…best pork chops I’ve ever had in my life, best fried okra I’ve ever had. My son said his was the best club sandwich he’s ever had. Bread was the best we’ve ever had too. Our server was wonderful. Two things that weren’t good. Extremely loud. We couldn’t even talk at our table. And sticker shock at the time to pay. We lost about $7 because we use debit card. Overpriced food, plus a surprise charge at the end. Not sure we’ll go back. Plus they’re only open for dinner 2 days a week. The fee was very upsetting. I’ve never encountered that anywhere. Never at a restaurant. The food was good, so I hope they can lower prices, and stop that fee.

I blame my job for introducing me to Simply Country and how amazing every aspect of this restaurant is. I can’t wait to go back so i can try everything at least once. I had the Philly cheese steak (made with ribeye) with a side of fries. Be sure while you wait for your food to check out all the pies, cheesecakes, and turnovers. The pecan cheesecake was soooo good. It only lasted 2 days before it was demolished.

My family and I met for a get together, and it was just so pleasant. Our server Toni was great. Our food was fresh, flavorful and cooked just right. We were able to sit and visit over our meal and enjoy each other’s company. I will definitely come back. The pies were wonderful and so was the coffee! Can’t wait to try more menu items!

Very close to a 5, but they used the wrong cheese on my sandwich and the only fruit pie was Apple. I will be happy to go again so I can give them a 5. I had Pecan pie instead.

This was a great place to encounter on my way to Beaumont (from Houston)…I stopped by to take a cup of coffee and I was delighted with it sweets that couldn’t resist to buy and eat one. It was delicious. Also, the place was very very cozy, the waitress was so nice…recommended for the sweets and the breakfast menu also looked worthy of an stop next time

Best chicken fried steak and chicken we’ve had in a long time! Wonderful family restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and great food. The steak and chicken were hand breaded and fried perfectly! The salad bar was stocked with delicious salads and vegetables! And you must have a slice of delicious pie even if you take it home. Highly recommend this awesome place and we will be back for more!

Down home country store feel even with classic kitchen decor from yesteryear. Gives it an old country feel. The servers are very hospitable and helpful with suggestions. Absolutely wonderful food from the TX version of the Philly (with pepper jack cheese for a little kick) to the fish sandwich, and the pies are the cherry on top. We’d drive there for the vast selection of delicious pies alone. The cherry cheesecake isn’t too rich or dense. The pecan pie cheesecake wasn’t overly sweetened. The fillings are creamy and just right. The cook definitely knows their way around the kitchen. We leave with multiple slices of various pies every time. Kudos to Simply Country!
