I have to say I have been here recently and agree with alot of other people that food was barely warm such as wings. The service is not on this places best level, hard to find parking and it is a small place which I would think they would like to make a better effort to attract business!!! In all I think they need a better cook compared to whoever is in the kitchen now since the food is poorly made.

This is how our $19.99 weck and wings came. We hadn’t touched it yet. The weck was wrapped in a ball in aluminum. Then the bartender had the audacity to commet about the pick up order tip!!

The fish fry are the best in town! I’ve been looking everywhere for a good fish fry that is crunchy without getting soggy and I finally found it! The sides are plentiful, and the dinner is huge!

Great fish fry. I’ve found that it’s rare to get a fish fry in Buffalo that has great fish and great sides. Here, the macaroni salad, potato salad, coleslaw and French fries were all very good with great seasoning. Service was great even though it was obvious that they were understaffed (like most restaurants these days).

The food was Luke warm. Waitress was very rude kept on saying she will be back she has other customers. But the place had 1 table with 2 men had there food 4 ladies had there food then us with nothing and a table of 3 came in after us and got served. It took her 4 times to go get something out of the kitchen for us. When she bought my chicken wing to go it was leaking . I asked her if she could change the bag . Thanks for doing that .We spent a lot of money there .Not to be treated rude.

Second time I have been to Skoob’s. Laid back atmosphere that is family friendly. Appetizer of the hot pretzel was delightful. The pretzels never got hard even when they cooled down. Their homemade cheese sauce was delicious. It had a white American cheese type flavor which I appreciate when most cheese dips tend to be cheddar. The deviled eggs with jalapeno and candied bacon are a must have. It’s great to share and they have a great balance of sweet and heat. The fact that this restaurant makes their own blue cheese and fresh cut fries makes a quality difference you notice. They also hand bread their chicken fingers. It takes your normal pub type food to a slightly special level you do not find everywhere. The chicken wings were great and crispy but not overcooked and they came with a lot of fresh carrots and celery as did the fingers. One poor aspect of my visit was the Specialty Cocktail menu. My impression is that these are out of date and the correct cocktail recipes are not being used based on the drinks we were made. The one I ordered was awful. It was like drinking fire it was so strong. My husband couldn’t even drink it. It was not just the strength but it just tasted like straight booze and nothing else. It was hard to accept the $10 price tag for each cocktail that went to waste. However, lots of friendly staff and food at this restaurant and I would certainly recommend it to friends and family….minus the cocktails.

First time going here. Went with a large group of family (10+). Everything was great food kinda took awhile but I get it – it’s busy! All the orders came correct, thoroughly cooked & tasted great staff was friendly & helpful. My mom recommended we go – I would def go again!
