It’s been almost 10 years since I’ve had papalote ! Was in sf for the weekend and had to visit – super carne asada burrito is still the best you can get in the bay. That perfect homemade tortilla you could eat by itself, rare steak , and perfect balance of all the beans rice etc inside. The orange sauce is just a hero to add on top. If you haven’t been, you need to go! Was excited to see they sell the sauce now and have a food truck roaming the city too.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in San Francisco. This place was highly recommended by a number of friends and I can see why. The food and price are very hard to bear. The carne asada burrito was perfectly done. The mole tofu also was fantastic. The hot sauce they give you is also incredible. I’ll definitely return just to pick up a bottle of that before going home.

If you like plain and unflavored tacos this is your place. No salt or sauce at all they use on their tacos. The only good thing is that they are a little bit bigger than the usual tacos. But with so much lettuce and tomatoes that you can’t find the meat. Plus they don’t have utensils or straws. Not coming back.

Lots if vegan/vegetarian options, which is great, although I ordered the chicken mole this time around. The vegan mole is excellent! The chicken is breast – tender, shredded, not greasy. The cheese is melted in the tortilla in the super burrito. Light on the guac and sour cream.

I thought it was a little pricey until the large portions arrived making it a very reasonable cost. The place isn’t accessible friendly since its all high tables stool seating. Surfaces were also a bit on the dusty, could use a little cleaning side of things. While the food was very tasty – flavorful, well made – if I ever go back it’ll be a take out order.

First experience was very terrible! Bad customer service and the cashier Sheyla was very unprofessional. Ordered 2 super steak buritto which is extra $2.50 but she charged me for extra $1 for the other buritto because I want my sourcream and guac separately. I asked them for extra salsa and they said they charge for it, you spent $30 for 2 items and u cant even get another one for complimentary.
