I love a good taco Tuesday where I leave a restaurant feeling good, full and happy about my experience. Jimmy’s Tequila & Carnes did no disappoint. They provided a superior customer experience as soon as you walked through the door. Greeting you with hello as you enter the building an assigning swiftly with a designated waitress/waiter. Our Waitress Kimberly was amazing. She was very kind, knowledgeable and attentive to us and her other parties. Giving amazing recommendations to us because all 3 of my guest were first-timers. We enjoyed our cocktails (Passion Fruit & Peach Margaritas) along with our steaks (14oz Ribeye $31.99 & 20oz T-Bone Porter House $39.99). The ambiance was nice, seems as if on Tuesday evening/nights they have Karaoke — and by the sound of it last night they have some nice talent stopping by to showcase.

The atmosphere was pleasant. Service was good. We went on a Sunday night, around 8:00pm. There weren’t many people. The music was low and everyone was so quiet, that my family and I had to almost whisper. It was a different experience for us. The music selection was lovely, it reminded us of our young days back in the early 2000’s. The temperature was a bit too cold and our food became cold quickly. I do want to point out though, that the temperature dropped significantly on that day so maybe they weren’t prepared for it. However, the food was delicious and full of flavor. There’s a wide variety of food. We especially chose this place because of their yummy vegetarian selection. However, I ordered beef and it was juicy and tender just how I like it. We loved it and will definitely be back.

Food was good, in my burrito it had a lot of onions. Steak however was very tender and flavorful. My drink was okay I didn’t taste or feel like it had any alcohol in it. I ordered the mango margarita with the house made tequila, and the burrito Banderita.

My friend & I went to Jimmy’s to celebrate her birthday & it was okay. The food was NOT the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, it was not even the 3rd best, but it was okay. Service was good. I liked our waiter, Isaias, he was very helpful. I had the Burrito Banderita, with the 3 sauces, & the mole sauce ruined it for me. It tasted burnt & scraping it off didn’t help. The ultimate margarita was pretty & big & semi-strong but tasted very citrus-y. We also had the wings, which were good. Overall, I wouldn’t return.

I had the lobster made to order with the creamy mushroom sauce and it was a very big plate. I took the whole thing home. For the appetizer we had the calamari, it was awesome my 8year old son loved it. Fresh and good. We took everything home because we were so full off of the appetizer alone lol. Definitely will be coming back here. Wonderful server. Great salsa. No complaints at all. First restaurant we ate at since we moved to Georgia.

The place has character all right, from the Rolling Stones statues in the dog park to lots of tvs for sports!! What I didn’t expect was the menu…steak and seafood with a Mexican edge! They had tacos, a burrito ,and fajitas on the menu, but not the typical Mexican dishes. You can see by my pics the “6oz” filet was huge, juicy, and charred wonderfully with exciting Mexican spices!! The rice was wonderful and another surprise was the grilled piece of sausage that comes with the steaks…a fun flavor change that I enjoyed as I continued to munch chips with their “slightly zippy”(thats how I describe it!) salsa!! My waitress was wonderful and other staff not assigned to me still asked if I needed anything and engaged me while I experienced their restaurants flavors!! Almost forgot !!! I got a virgin Pina Colada served in a pineapple !!! I kinda wish they would serve you the pineapple they cut out for the drink to make the extra few bucks worth it but it was yet another colorful addition to my amazing dining experience!! My advice???

I enjoyed this place. I’ve been here a few times but this is my first review. I always get the stake tacos, so I’m not an expert on the menus lol but they are always amazing. I also ordered the passion fruit mojito, which is always my go to drink. It had the perfect amount of everything and I definitely got 2!

Swung by for a Happy Hour on Friday evening drinks and appetizers. The oysters were good and fresh. The sampler had a bit of it all to nibble on. Salsa and chips were on the house and it was a little hot which I loved. I had the house margarita which is a great deal during happy hour. They did have some other meals not normally served at a Mexican place. The large crab legs looked really good from someone else’s order. I’d make this a regular stop if I’d live up here.

Me and some friends had lunch here today. Very nice restaurant ambience and music where perfect. Salsa is spicy and delicious, chips need some work, they are two hard. My friends had the steak pizza and my husband had the steak salad they enjoyed their meal. I had fish tacos. I am a vegetarian but will eat seafood. The sea food has to be fresh and the fish tacos did not taste good to me. Everyone else enjoyed their food so I gave a 4 star.
