This place use to be the best in the area. Now it is horrible. Over prices and no flavor. I could have sworn chow main is a noodles. I guess not here. Crab Rangoon has bacon in it! Not what I was expecting for $24

This place has changed over the years! Surprised they still have loyal patrons. They need them. The shrimp fried rice was too hard and served almost cold– like it’s been sitting in a lexan for the whole shift. Even soy sauce didn’t help. Been a supporter for a long time, so I know. They should stop cutting corners. It’s noticeable.

Myself and a buddy strolled in, sat down and was immediately greeted by this sweet lady. We started with the crab rangoon (house made btw and super decadent) then we moved onto our plates.. we both had one of the combination plates. Food was super delicious staff was very attentive, only drawback I had… I wish they served beer there.. there’s nothing like a Tsingtao while you eat your food. I will be going back however!

Generous portions. Good food. Not the greatest I’ve ever had, but not bad. General Chicken was not spicy and it tasted pretty similar to generic Chinese food. But the egg roll was huge and very good.

Fresh & so delicious menu items, in a pretty little atmosphere with lovely nautical lanterns…a nod to our close Gulf proximity. This is top notch Chinese & great kind service!

This Kenner restaurant is amazing and honestly so iconic. You could even say their competitors got burned. I moved to Hammond 4 years ago and I still dream about their combination fried rice and egg rolls. Omg. I can’t find anything to compare. Idk what they putting in that food but it’s got me in a chokehold.

Well, the old saying is true, “how do you find the best Chinese food in any city? You look for the ones with 3-4 star ratings” and man is that true for Young’s! Their eggrolls are to die for, they are HUGE and packed full of flavor. Their lemon chicken is always on point and the service is what you would expect in any good gangster movie, which makes me feel right at home. The location is just ok but they are still the last ones standing after that feud with Fong’s all those years back, so that definitely makes them the winner. Take-out, dine-in, or even microwaved 3 days later, their food is some of the best in the New Orleans area. If you’re going for flavorful fried rice, you have missed the point, that is a vehicle to fill you up with your other food, it is not the main ingredient in southern Chinese food. If you want fried rice as your main dish, you go to New York City. If you’re looking for an eggroll that can act as a whole meal, you go to Young’s and you order two because whoever is riding in the car with you will undoubtedly eat half of yours.

Excellent flavored dishes. In comparison to other Chinese restaurants I’ve tried; they have the best Shrimp Lo mein, Chinese chicken dishes, soups and Shrimp & Lobster sauce.

It really is the best. Service leaves a lot to be desired, but if you can get past that you will enjoy some of the best American Chinese food in the Nola metro area.
