My wife is celiac so It’s difficult to find safe Gluten Free places for her to eat while we are out seeing the sites while we travel with work. So when you find a amazing restaurant that serves amazing food, drinks that can be made Gluten free you go! We spent A LOT of time here while visiting this amazing town that is full of amazing people and history. We sat at the bar, our bartender/server was/is awesome‼️ He was Knowledgeable, friendly, funny and extremely attentive. We felt like we were hanging out with family every time we came in! This is a MUST stop when visiting Jefferson TX.

Late dinner at 1852 on Austin, sat at bar and enjoyed a cocktail and a mix of appetizers including firecracker shrimp, 1852 truffle fries and spinach/artichoke dip. All were excellent.

My wife and I went there on a Saturday and ate lunch. This was our first time coming here, and we loved it. The food was really good, and if you go, you need to try the Boudin Egg Rolls. They were great. The building was built in 1852 for the Planters Bank & Mercantile in downtown Jefferson and was the first bank in the territory. It became the 1852 on Austin restaurant two years ago.

Our group of 7 went to 1852 On Austin last night to celebrate a birthday. From the moment we walked in, nothing could have been any better! The server was awesome. She was totally on top of everything! The food? It was beyond scrumptious!. Everyone said their meal was perfect! I can’t wait for our group’s next birthday celebration!!! I know where we’re going!

We had dinner tonight, A Thursday evening. We made our decision on previous reviews. Food was good. The glass of wine we each had was horrible. Like an old bottle not recorked well, or from previous weekend. The atmosphere was so off. Not busy, but so laid back in a very like you might be eating at a Chili’s restaurant. Kind of a let down. High priced meal with a low feeling experience.

The fried green tomatoes and the lobster bisque were fabulous! Extremely tasty, hot, and full of flavor.

Came here on a Friday night, and we ordered nearly half the menu. Salmon, Halibut, steak, and Lobster ravioli were good, as were the sides we ordered including Brussel sprouts, asparagus, grilled veggies.

We had two great dinners here. The pork chop, the steak frites, the salmon, all were good. Our server, Whitney, was very good, knew the menu, very accommodating.

Have had lunch here several times. The sandwiches are wonderful!! This time I had the firecracker shrimp po’boy and my husband had the knuckle sandwich. We were not disappointed. Often we take half home, but we had to finish these. Oh, the sides are delightful too. Even the ice tea is superior.
