We went to Bass Haven Restaurant tonight with friends to celebrate our anniversary. First time there. Friends had whole catfish and said you can’t find any better than that. My shrimp scampi and grilled shrimp were great. The baked potato could have been hotter. All meals come with hush puppies, beans, cold slaw and choice of potatoes. My husband liked his fish filet and fried shrimp. All six of us enjoyed the meal and the view of the lake. The waitress was helpful. We would go back again, even though it is about a 30 minute drive. We got there about 5:15 P and it started getting busy about 6 on a Thursday.

Saturday night & restaurant doesn’t open till 5P. Fortunately we had reservations. By 6P, people were having to wait for seating. Oysters were over battered. Friends grilled shrimp were undercooked.
