We were pleasantly surprised when we stopped in for a quick breakfast. While the menu is limited the offerings will satisfy most anyone. Their bottomless cup of coffee was a pleasant surprise and the friendly staff made sure it was always full. The prices just cannot be beat, it’s like stepping back back in time 10 years. GO!

Great home cooked meals at prices less than fast food. Each time that I’ve been there people have been standing in line to get in and also for the take-out arrea. There has been only one cashier at the times I’ve visited and she seems to be quite rushed and impatient. My suggestion is; if it is overwhelming for one cashier, add a second one during rushed times.

B&G is a popular downtown Goldsboro eatery. It is bustling and crowded, but we were seated quickly. My guest got the chicken pastry, a local favorite that is noodles, shredded chicken and a light gravy. I had the hamburger steak with gravy and onions. Sides were butter beans and candied yams. Service is fast and friendly. The price? Amazingly $6.95.

The staff was very friendly, efficient, professional and just very caring. Yes it’s all full for breakfast and it’s hard to find a good parking spot. The restaurant was very busy, I️ ordered a to-go order and I️t took about 30 minutes to prepared. The order was well packed and the price was fair. I️ would come back again. They don’t take credit cards, a little let down but there is an ATM nearby.

I phoned in my order and arrived to the tent and was the 2nd person waiting for staff to come out. Once the female came out, I told her that I already called in my order and gave my name & order. The female began taking orders, two other staffs came out, I told one of them that I was waiting to pick up & gave my name, meanwhile the guy stood and talked with the 3rd person that arrived. As I stood there, the other female & guy retrieved the other people’s orders. I spoke up about waiting and the people that arrived after me are gone with theirs. The initial female told me that I had to let them know that I ordered & that the orders were right inside the door. I explained that I stated to her and the other female that I called in my order, gave my name and food. I MAY BE JUST 1 PERSON THAT THEY LOSE BUSINESS, BUT I AM HUMAN, SPENDING MY $ AND DRIVING THERE WITH ONLY A 30 MINUTE LUNCH TO PATRONIZE THEIR BUSINESS AND I FELT OF NO CONCERN. Rest assured that God can/will make the difference of me being just one person. I rather spend my $ and 30 minutes where I will get service and respect!

I was very disappointed in the chef Salad I purchased for lunch today. I have had the chef salad before and it’s usually more than I can finish in one sitting. Today’s lunch was not even half of what I normally receive There was almost no meat in my salad. No turkey and only a few cubes of ham. I understand the supply chain shortage going on but don’t charge full price and deliver not even half the product.
