My friend and I went to The Soup Company Wed. Jan. 18 to enjoy a nice lunch and each other’s company. The food was good and we were finishing up our beverage when the owner’s wife came over, picked up our plates and said she needed us to vacate our table because someone else needed it. When I went to pay for our meal, I told her I didn’t appreciate her actions and her reply was: “it’s not a meeting place “. A party of 4 who were there when we came in and were still there because they had waited on other friends to join them were sitting nearby. When I asked about their time there, she said it was because they had not been served – my reply – “it’s not a ;meeting place”. I have enjoyed meeting friends here several times and have recommended it to others – I do not and will not recommend it any more. I just received posting from the soup company (thurs.). I am sorry they did not see fit to simply apologize for the incident. My lunch friend would be glad to confirm all of the events that happened that day. I have previously stated that I have dealt with the owner and enjoyed the food . We did cater a wedding shower with him and he was pleasant and did all we agreed on . It was a successful shower. It was not him that we dealt with on Wednesday.

Best club sandwich I’ve had in awhile! We stopped here (group of 4) while waiting for an appointment in the area, the soup is excellent and the salads are fresh too. Staff is extremely friendly and it feels like you’re visiting family. Cozy seating area and clean, definitely a gem we’re glad we found.

What a nice little find. We rarely head up to Carthage but we were passing through on the way to Seagrove and decided to pop in. So glad we did. The soup and sandwiches are a nice portion and delicious. This place is enough for me to drive up to Carthage! Staff was very friendly!
