This is our second time coming to this Mexican restaurant, and the staff is always very friendly, and the food is delicious. We had the seafood enchiladas, the ceviche, and the grilled mahi-mahi tacos. I had the skinny margarita, and my husband had the ultimate Rita. Everything was amazing. Atmosphere is super fun. Great music on the weekends. I love their fun and colorful decor. It’s definitely a happy place to eat with your date or with the whole family.

Wait staff was very friendly & attentive too which is always appreciated! 10 stars in my book!! Tuesday lunch special (stuffed burrito) was probably one of the best I’ve ever eaten!! This place is bright and colorful, the music is very loud, the clientele is a little rambunctious, lots of big parties and tables of groups celebrating birthdays and such. The food was good. Red salsa was spicy, green salsa was tasty, chips were good, a little heavier than the ultra thin chips. Margaritas well, don’t get the house it is a mix, bit the swirl in frozen Mango, raspberry, strawberry, pomegranate is good. Crunchy beef Taco is worth a try. Don’t get fundido queso, not good, and takes too long to come out. Ceviche okay, tacos al carbon beef and steak was worth a try.

I went on a Sunday. First time eating here. There was Plenty of parking to choose from. Place was semi empty in the inside, there was more people outside eating and drinking. They brought us chips and salsa really fast but our actual waiter took 13 minutes to get us. Thank god no one was choking on chips and salsa..

Great Beer Now
Tex Mex food is easy to find in the Houston area. What isn’t always easy to find is a restaurant that serves Tex Mex, offers good service, and is accommodating to groups who need a place to eat and drink and want not just good food, but also a good beer selection. A restaurant I discovered that meets all of the above criteria is Valencia’s Tex Mex Garage, in Houston’s Greenway/Upper Kirby area.
